NUMEROLOGY!!!!

chris-budget [Edit] [Delete] 11 replies 11:28, 10 April '07

so............. i also saw the film 'Pi' over the weekend about some maths genius who is searching for the number patterns in the stock market so you can predict what will happen next, he also gets involved in a kabbalah sect who are trying to work out the number code hidden in the torrah so they can find out god secrets and stuff.
So its pretty good and shot a bit like Eraserhead in parts and it goes on about all this maths stuff about how there is a mathmatical pattern that everything is based upon etc - like the Golden ratio and all that.
so.............. who thinks there is a big fuck off crazy maths code underlying EVERTHING in the world??
eh?

      • well, that's an extreme view

but we don't live in the 'billiard ball' universe. we don't know exactly how things will turn out when they happen.

        quantum mechanics shows that.

  • One of my favourite films

shame all the maths in the film are wrong. But still, fibonacci sequence = well cool.
