Problem with Wrighty's PC.

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 7 replies 00:33, 10 April '07

So an update of Windows Media came onto my PC. We had 10, but 11 installed itself. Now, because our copy of Windows isn't 'genuine', it won't work at all.

So we tried System Restore, but that won't work either, and now, all my lovely rarities and precious gems of music, are unlistenable.

HEEEEEEELP.

  • My copy of Windows wasn't 'genuine'.

I just started over. Installed my dad's version. Saved everything onto a disc. You should probably do something similar.

  • ( I know this is a late reply)

You can get around this. Download the WMP11 installation file, extract it using WinRAR and then use a crack to trick it into thinking it's genuine. I think you can get all this sorted out at somewhere like www.torrentspy.com

  • ^^^ Yup, this.

WMP11 will never install itself. It takes an external force.

The problem exists between the keyboard and the chair. (That's you, Wrighty.)
