It's a bit weird. Why are there two sluts on the cover, its all a bit gritty in an artic monkeys kind of way. Thoughts?
is which lady you prefer.
I think the one on the right.
I do like the blonde.
if i was 6 years younger. but then i would have done anything when i was six years younger.
based solely on their appearance?
i just know
I should've made that clearer in my original post.
if it weren't for that stray bit of denim-come-loose, you'd be able to see the right one's minge. SLAAAAAAG.
No doubt Mr Wire will say it signifies "the eternal optimism of feminine youth in the face of bridge related urban ennui" or some such nonsense.
And the backwards Rs are just daft. You're not Holy Bible era any longer, chaps.
are terrible. I don't even know why they're so bad.
wotsisname popped his clogs?
on the music board, of all places
because I think its a 'social commentary'
is a social commentary
I think it's wonderful. The symbolism is clunky, but it's the Manics of course it is!
So yeah - Severn Bridge, notorious suicide spot, Wales, youth, dichotomous choices between good and bad - all says a lot about Richey to me.
I like the girls on it, they remind me what it was like to be a teenage Manics fan. They're hardly sluts, they look all dressed up and innocent in your, with the ominous bridge of adulthood behind them!
I want a poster.
hope that makes more sense.
but they're not wearing leather trousers?
Hereford Leisure Centre, 1997 (I think).
it was in Port Talbot or somewhere.
what i was referring to ;-)
forever, cheap tarnished glitter on the bums of the rich!
boredom and despair, woo-ooh-oohh.
Throbbing Gristle when they used a picture of Beachy Head (more suicides here then anywhere else in Britain fact fans) on the cover of 20 Jazz Funk Greats.
Well with added Richeyness.
and cosey are more appealing than those girls, even now.
p-orridge recently? *shudders*
And Cosey would do way more dirty things then those 'sluts' could even imagine.
I'm looking for a ticket for the Astoria show? I'm regretting not getting one now.
we do need a girl to come, otherwise it'll just be me, daniel and colin in an orgy of shamefaced manics revivalism
I'm sure one will appear eventually.
Did you see them on Charlotte Church this Friday? I do like that song, even if they do recycle their own lyrics in a crap way.
i couldnt face watching it. the recorded version is quite good, i actually rather like the cardigans. dont hold too much hope for the album really, but the gig should be good, they've apparently been rehearsing a '40 song setlist'.
