that's awesome. When I last went to the states it was $1.40 and that was still reallly cheap.
does anyone want to buy 1000 Korean Won off me?
It's £5 worth but the bank won't change it :(
Yeah, its great.
I was over there recently, still spent a fucking fortune though.
a taxi journey (few blocks)?
a burger in a faily decent restaurant?
Thats like £5.
I <3 the exchange rate.
$6 for an imported European lager
$15 albums (I think)
$12-13 for a 10 minute journey
$20 for huge burger, fries, and 3 drinks, portion big enough for two.
That's Vegas prices, too, which I'd guess is more expensive
album can be as cheap as $10 (plus tax), but the real treat are records (vinyl) which are comparably cheaper than here ($15 or so).
taxi about $10 i think?
can't remember about burgers...
2nd hand CDs, you can often get stuff for $7.
I'm going to spend half my wages on durables, I think.
pretty much costs what it does here, but in dollars not pounds. So Gap jeans would be £50 and $50. So half the price for most things with that exchange rate :o)
I came back with a $30 pair of levis, someone else though got a brand new Sony Vaio laptop for an amount of dollars = pounds price.
crystal city clothing and threadless, methinks.
or american ebay
you want get that exchange rate on the high street, though it's still pretty damn good!
i cant wait.
my girlfriend is from there, so its all very good.
