i liked it.
amazing on a screen like that
£12 sounds fair enough
but not the masterpiece that some are makng out. It's surprisingly slow, for one thing.
Although I do like the way that the heroes all have mouths full of phlegm when they pronounce 'Spartarrgh'.
A good as place as any to launch the official 300 Sweepstakes!

that a girl could grow a dick just by watching it.
i think i'll be going sometime during the week. looks fun.
utterly mind bendingly bad.
a poor man's troy, possibley. and that film was bad too.
i could be wrong obviously, but the clips i've seen have looked shocking.
It is pretty stupid - but in a good way.
That said, the production and cinematography and whatnot are amongst the best I've seen in any film - each shot is some trippy impressionist tablaeu. How they got the actors to match is beyond me. I'd see it just for that.
the key is not to treat it like a serious film.
It's serious in some areas and not so much in others. Don't expect a learned treatise on the human condition. Do expect someone to get his head cut off in slow motion, as a moon, 4-5 times its usual sides dominates the background of the mise-en-scene as it glides upwards to its apex.
the original cinematic take on this film on Saturday afternoon beofre heading out for the yawnfest that was England.
It was called "The 300 Spartans" and was made it 1962. I now know what happens at the end na dthey had exactly the same lines of
"We well blot of the sun with our arrows!"
"Then we'll fight in the shade!"
I'm still going to watch "300" but will now probably wait for DVD.
I enjoyed 300. It's pretty ridiculous in terms of dialogue and acting, but it's visually stunning and the fight scenes are great.. plenty of extreme deaths to keep me happy!
are thousands of years old.
Those lines are in both films because they were said in real life!
in wishing me luck. CHUMP!
Because they were you know....it was kind of encouraged.........Im being serious actually
was an important part of greek culture...
I had a lecturer at uni who banged on about it incessantly, think he was trying to corrupt us
at one point the King disses the arthenians (I htink) for being boy-lovers.
of manipulation of youth and inexperiance....that is bad
