just why? and how?
so you can put each guitar into a different fx chain and amp
and each on can be in a different tuning, with open chords and stuff
so one neck could be a heavily distorted C major chord, going to an amp left of stage, one could be heavily distorted g majoy chord, going to the right, and you colud set thiose chords off when you want them, whilst playing a delay soaked lead line over the top, and put wah on it without it effecting the chords
and one of them 12 string
it would only be of use on the ground surely
or you could just play along to a backing track...
and just send a cd to your gigs
would that be "allowed" as "live"?
ME and my friend are doing a drum 'n' bass cover of the final countdown for the school talent show next week. Theres only two of us so we have to do backing tracks. Does this count?
What about aphex twin and the likes who just put effects on pre recorded stuff? All very confusing...
im in a band based around loop pedals and laptop programming as well as live vocals and percussion
but i dont see whats wrong with trying to make an interesting live sound on your own by using a advanced piece of equpiment
Its hard to do properly "live" unless you record all the loops on stage and build up the song a la final fantasy.
you have loads of loops and you improvise the sequence of them
but it leads to a pretty one dimensional stage show when all of your songs start of sparse and then just get bigger and bigger, so we alternate between loop build up songs, prerecorded songs with live effects and loops manipulated from them, songs that are just vocals and ukelele and stuff
so its for people who need to distract from the fact they can't write songs?
I'd love a twelve string electric though...
Because you can't write songs on a 6-string like the rest of us mere mortals?
i know most of the tiem guitars like that are played by clueless fretwankers, but theres no reason why it cant be a tool for making really interesting textures
and theres no reason why interesting music should be seperated from good songwriting
touche or touchy?
i dont think id ever buy anything like that, unless i came into a hell of a lot of money, but all i was doing was suggesting a creative use for it
Yeah, I was only teasing. Textures rock, its just that thing looks like the ultimate sick guitar porn thing.
The best thing for it would be some five on one action, monks stylee, and be done with it.
I just got a weird Indonesian dulcimer/zither thing...its ace
ever were four of them
would be scalloped or something. having three ordinary necks seems a little pointless.
a whammy bar, a floating trem, a koas pad, a banjo a keyboard, a vocoder a Dimebag Darrell...
meaning 1978 when cheap trick used it, I think even rick neilsen realised it looked, er, fucking stupid...
how long must your arm be to strum all of those though?!
you cannot possibly play it surely!
