across the middle vertical strip that goes through the writing bit.
If that's not possible, take it to one of those pawnbroker places, but I'm not sure how they work?
i don't understand :(
basically i got a cheque for my birthday and i reeaaally need the money, but if i put it in my bank account it'll just clear a little bit of what ive gone overdrawn, i won't actually get the money :/
but it sounds as if you can't do that...
they're up in inverness :(
there are places that will do it, they are normally in shit areas of town and full of low lifes.
however, they will cash cheques.
i cannot think of any brand names to hand. but its safe to say, if there's a cash converters, farmfoods or pound shop around, you are not far away from a place that will cash your cheque
got no money in your account, the dodgy places wont be able to get any more even if they tried!
'Cheques r us' type places, usually the same ones that sell stolen TVs etc.
I wouldn't recommend them though.
i don't have one either, a direct debit came out of my account when i didn't have enough money and it put me in the minus
these places may look dodgy but they are a god send for the poor, and people without bank accounts. Should be worth a look
not the kind of place i frequent, loike.
will charge you commission though, so if it's a small amount it's probably not worth it.
I've just realised I have to do this as well. Damn this shitty provincial working place I am in. I need to claim my £78 :(
Most seem to open Saturday and Barclays have an automated thing where you can deposit cheques to avoid the queues.
is a Woolwich. Which is no use to anyone, let's be honest.
they charge a lot i think, they only do company cheques anyway most of the time
cheque cashing places usually charge about 10% comission for smallish amounts.
office will do it...
