hi theo, can you tell me how i find out if my PC has a sound card?
or why i cant make noises come out of it?
Right click my computer
Select the Hardware tab
Select 'Device Manager'
Check if there's an entry under Sound, video and game controllers and see what's there.
Check for a little speaker icon in the system tray and make sure the menu for it doesn't have 'Mute' checked.
Make sure you've connected speakers/headphones to the right port?
does that mean it has got one? and something else is fucked?
Erm. Control panel - Sound and Audio devices - there's a menu there with tests and such.
why is help alweays so useless!
Have you checked the advanced volume control to make sure you've turned everything up?
What are you trying to play? How many different sources of sound have you tried?
i think i'm reinstalling the driver at the mo
Take a screw driver. Unscrew all the screws in the back of your computer. The case should now lift off revealing the chewy centre of your PC. Using the same screwdriver, unscrew everything you can find inside your PC. Also, anything inside the computer that can be unplugged - unplug it.
Then... I forgot where I was going with this. Just do all the above.
"and the mix the pieces together with some lettuce and chopped tomatoes to make a fantastic salad!"
I'm almost crying with laughter here.
Stealthy's method, right?
