  • But he's better than Gordon Brown

    Or the incumbent.

But at the end of the day, does it really change your day to day life who is in power?

      • Mention his name anywhere near me

and you will hear some very bad words said against him.

    • Except

      Jeremy Clarkson.

Also, I was saying earlier, I'd much prefer England if Tim Lovejoy was England's Manager.

        • it worries

me that we could have somebody that smug and snide looking running the country. why do politicians look like this??

Dave Cameron is a younger, more attractive clone of Michael Howard

      nuff said

      smezzer | 20 Mar '07, 21:15 | X
      • I think Michael Howard is more attractive than David Cameron

        mmmmm lips

        • I have a bit of a 'thing'

          for Oliver Letwin

          chiaroscuro @Parsefone | 20 Mar '07, 21:19 | X
    • He's just a PR man

I'm hoping that the British public have enough sense to see through him. Strangely, I believe time is in Brown's favour. If the election was towards the end of this year I think Cameron would win comfortably, but I think the novelty of a young Tory leader will have worn off by the next general election

      I fucking hope so, anyway

      dove_from_above | 20 Mar '07, 21:18 | X
      • ^ this

people underestimate Brown. Cameron is paper thin.

        Parsefone @dove_from_above | 20 Mar '07, 21:19 | X
        • I don't care much for either 2bf.

          Lib Dem FTW

      • u iz dreamin

        smezzer @dove_from_above | 20 Mar '07, 21:19 | X
    • Why?

      He's Blair Mark II.

      fionapinkstars | 20 Mar '07, 22:50 | X
    • Honestly.

I hope a credible challenger beats Brown in a leadership challenge. It'll be far more exciting/better for a stagnant Labour party/British political system.

I think in a Brown/Cameron election it'll be a hung parliament, or slim majority either way. Half the middle ground voters who went over to New Labour are too disillusioned and will see Brown as a crusty old Labour-er/too connected to Blair (either/or) and will see Cameron as a viable, likeable, clean alternative.

      fionapinkstars @Pigfoot | 20 Mar '07, 23:01 | X
      • i agree

although it seems most of the possible credible challengers have died/left the party in the last few years.

i genuinely got worried tonight when i was on the bus that in a few years david cameron might be the prime minister.

        elainepaige @fionapinkstars | 20 Mar '07, 23:41 | X
        • New Labour and the Conservatives

have basically the same policies though. It won't make very much difference either way.
