Sreesanth's mine - he's a little fighter, I love him.
That doesn't even work, but i've typed it now...
as he's in my fantasy team.
On this evidence, though - Dwayne Smith.
but he comes from 1976!
spot the weird thing here..... (clue - it's in the table on the right)
that he bats with his left but bowls with his right?
the right-hand bowling, left-hand batting combination, it's a common thing amongst white Zimbabwean cricketers - Alastair Campbell (yes, that's his name) and Barney Rogers being other examples.
It's down to their coaching: a lot of Zimbabwean coaches (Campbell's father in particular) believe that since batting is led by your top hand (or at least it is if you've got a good technique), then your top hand should be your strongest hand. (Obviously, since you follow cricket, you know that left-hand bats bat with their RIGHT hand as the top hand, and right-hand bats bat with their left.)
he may have retired but HE'S STILL PLAYING IN MY EYES!! ! !! ! !
That must take some getting used to.
I've batted left-handed - it's quite easy
I bat right handed, and bowl left handed. I never realised this before now. Does this mean my Dad may actually be that Zimbabwean guy who used to come round the house when Dad was out?
I saw the state of Morgan Tsvangirai in the paper and it made me very, very angry. But let's not get into that.
YEH! Your dad is Teh Duncan Fletcher (left hand bat, right arm bowler).
Grant Flower - right hand bat, left arm spinner.
Andy Flower - left hand bat, right arm spinner.
There we go.
right arm quick, LEFT-hand bat.
Cripes! It's actually more common than I realised.
I have a feeling this special surprise weapon is going to make Terry Duffin king of the cricketing world.
