TV-links isn't working :(
Like csi, west wing, the wire, 24 and a few others U.S progs, the idea doesn't excite me.
Slowish start but it packs loads in and there's just the right amount of characters that you don't get bored or confused. AND they actually give answers, unlike Lost.
it's better than those.
It depends how much you like your comic book things I guess.
If you do, watch it (and keep going past the first few episodes), it's great.
as some of those shows, but its got a lot of action in it and is really enjoyable to watch. I have to say though the 1st two episodes arent really very good but if you stick with it it improves massively
it's episode 1x18 - there's a few
You've made my evening a lot better than it was :)
It's a great episode :)
Shame it's a looooooooong wait til the next one.
What's going on?
til 23rd April :(
I'm going to have to write fan fiction to fill the void.
Peter Petrelli and Sylar slash fiction, anyone?
Go watch the episode....!!
concerned with the U.S post 9/11 and how deep down everyone can be a superhero even the most ordinary, a kind of wish fulfillment and how does it avoid cliche? Aren't people bored of the idea that the average man can do amazing things i.e spiderman, superman etc? huh?
It is a bit 'seemingly ordinary people can do extraordinary things' but it's quite a lot of fun and it definitely keeps you watching.
Try and watch the first 3 or 4 online and see what you think. It gets really good from about number 4 onwards.
well, at least, I don't get any of that from it. It's not at any point come across as being cloying or saccharine. It's often quite dark, to the point of having to look away from the screen (latest episode is a good example of that). And it's just cool. Superheroes are cool!!! I'm not sure how long they could keep it running and keep up the high standard. But it is excellent once it gets going :)
i shall have to wait though, my technology is crap!
it's currently on the Sci-Fi channel, and I believe it's coming to BBC2 soon...
the writers wanted to go the opposite way from lost and make sure every question gets answered pretty quickly so people dont lose interest, so every question posed this season will be answered by the end of the season and then next season they'll start with whole new characters i think and a different storyline.
but surely it will be the same characters?
Like, Nathan Petrelli as Mayor (can't remember if that's what he's running for) in some kind of X-Men like Humans vs Mutants conflict...or something, I dunno.
Most of the characters seem interconnected in some way. I'd be very surprised if the actors would be willing to give up a role in what has been one of the most popular series of the year.
And Hiro is far too ace to only be around for one series!!
i think a lot of the cast will return, heres the quote from some magazine...
"We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model." Does this mean that the show could get an entirely new cast? Or most of the cast be changed? Fans shouldn't be too worried as Kring revealed that many of the regulars would return but he also confirmed that some would not survive the end of season one..."
I'm going to be so angry I shit.
is all about future hiro who is cool and has a sword n shit, i think its set 5 years in the future or something
Oh man, I may wet myself during that episode.
Did you know the guy who plays Hiro works for ILM, too?
