really really sour.

the joy of going into the newsagents with 10p and pointing "that one, and that one, and that one, that one, one of those, one of those, two of those please, one of those and that one please"
Nobody ever seems to buy them, though.

ONE NIGHT! ONE NIGHT!! OOOOOHHHHH
ONE NIGHT IN CHATHAM!!!
The sweet shop at the bottom of Steep Hill in Lincoln is acetastic. And i don't even like sweets very much.
and the rainbow sherbert straws. I used to forget not to suck them every time though and then they'd get all gooey and blocked up. I would also store them in my tray during break and lunch and get sherbert everywhere.
oh the trauma's of my young life.
and fold them up to try and force the sherbert up the straw, but in the end you'd have to chew through the plastic?
and then you'd do a massive final rip off the plastic and spray sherbert everywhere.
I used to snort the sherbert up my nose to make myself sneeze. I don't quite know why, you just sneezed and then got a sticky nose.
I was with you right up until the snorting.
looking back I don't understand it myself.
I started a trend with it though. I also started a trend of wearing stickers on your forehead (I'd read it in the Ramona books). It started with apple stickers then moved on to more personalised stickers. It gave me a rash though so I had to bring it to a premature close. sad times.
Never bought penny sweets. Had my eye on greater things.
2p a go, for the more discerning customer.
Aniseed = My all time least favourite flavour, putting aside raw sewage.
Raw sewage is the tops.
nice gobstopper. They should warn you!
I liked gummi bears as they were 2 for 1p (can you even imagine that?)
with 50p you could get 100 sweets. mind-boggling
also sherbet lemons
I miss that popping candy too
everyone said if you drank coke with a mouthful of popping candy you would DIE. I don't think it's true but no one was brave enough to try.
I died :(
but good on you for being that brave :)
ordered lots of sweets from there. Beer bottles, golf balls, fireballs, coconut mushrooms etc. They didn't taste anything like they used to when I was younger. I used to like white mice with strawberry blood inside.
with strawberry blood. Yum.
I've actually started drooling.
funny feet ice lollies?

brandishing a rake*
