Music Social More…

if someone gave your cds away...

sarkyfox [Edit] [Delete] 58 replies 13:05, 6 March '07

a couple of years ago my mate left a box of his cds at his parents house for a while. when he went to get them back.... they had given them away. GIVEN.

now, if this was me, i would have gone absolutely fucking SPARE and demanded that my parents replace each and every cd. for some reason, he didn't.

i think i would cry if this actually happened to me. after the killing and maiming, obviously.

  • Yeah

Some kind of brutal death inferno murder would have to happen in response.

My dad threw away all my old NMEs, Selects and Melody Makers when I left home. I still haven't forgiven him.

    • ...

I have the opposite problem. Every time I go back home, they're still there. The conversation goes like this:

Me: "For Christ's sake, would you get rid of them, I don't want people to think I liked Limp Bizkit or Starsailor or anything"
Dad: "They might be worth something one day"
Me: "The NME is worth NOTHING!"

  • fuck it

I'd be a bit annoyed but I'd never make my parents buy them again.

    bobbygeorge | 6 Mar '07, 13:06 | X
    • i would.

i would have bought them myself with my own earned money.

the first 18 years thing - meh. they chose to have me. and i'll look after them in later life.

      • nope

I'd never do that. My parents deserve better than that.

had all of his vinyl stolen out of his girlfriends flat. She refused to accept that it was her friend who lived next door and was a heroin addict who did it. It has a happy ending though, my friend was made redundant, got a cheque, went into a record shop and found a large amount of his stolen records in the 2nd hand section and bought them back

by telling you about the time my ma gave away my original x-wing fighter toy.

And by 'gave away' I later found out she meant 'threw away in the bin'.

                    • it depends

                      on what cds they are

i have boxes and boxes of CDs
some of them are rubbish ones i bought when i was 15 and i rarely listen to.
so if i left a box of CDs at my parents, it would be a crap box.

                      maybe thats what happened?
