if someone gave your cds away...
a couple of years ago my mate left a box of his cds at his parents house for a while. when he went to get them back.... they had given them away. GIVEN.
now, if this was me, i would have gone absolutely fucking SPARE and demanded that my parents replace each and every cd. for some reason, he didn't.
i think i would cry if this actually happened to me. after the killing and maiming, obviously.
Yeah
Some kind of brutal death inferno murder would have to happen in response.
My dad threw away all my old NMEs, Selects and Melody Makers when I left home. I still haven't forgiven him.
...
I have the opposite problem. Every time I go back home, they're still there. The conversation goes like this:
Me: "For Christ's sake, would you get rid of them, I don't want people to think I liked Limp Bizkit or Starsailor or anything"
Dad: "They might be worth something one day"
Me: "The NME is worth NOTHING!"
fuck it
I'd be a bit annoyed but I'd never make my parents buy them again.
i would.
i would have bought them myself with my own earned money.
the first 18 years thing - meh. they chose to have me. and i'll look after them in later life.
nope
I'd never do that. My parents deserve better than that.
and petulant.
i can imagine sarky standing there stamping her feet shouting
'oi demoind that you boi all moi cds agoin'.
i'm sorry sarky.
x
AGOIN! AGOIN!

bonoadamclaytontheedge

you're all so easy.
i keep telling you this.
There would be a long period
of me Ignoring them.
Or I might brick their windows.
A BLOODBATH
would ensue.
My mum gave my old coffee table
away over the summer. A tragic tail, I'm sure you'll agree.
I RESIGN
I actually typed tale as well, and then thought I'd got it wrong and changed it.
I think I'm regressing.
Now, where's that damned petrol thread when I need it
I agree
my music is my life! (thats sad really is'nt it!)
One of my friends
had all of his vinyl stolen out of his girlfriends flat. She refused to accept that it was her friend who lived next door and was a heroin addict who did it. It has a happy ending though, my friend was made redundant, got a cheque, went into a record shop and found a large amount of his stolen records in the 2nd hand section and bought them back
bought them back
that's a sad ending. he had to pay!
unless the junkie ODed
with her ill-gotten money.
id just shrug, be a bit peeved
if he loved and needed the cds so much he would have got them back sooner innit
Oh
I'd be mad, but I wouldn't insist on anyone replacing them. And everything is replaceable in the long run
I think I can give this some perspective
by telling you about the time my ma gave away my original x-wing fighter toy.
And by 'gave away' I later found out she meant 'threw away in the bin'.
it depends
on what cds they are
i have boxes and boxes of CDs
some of them are rubbish ones i bought when i was 15 and i rarely listen to.
so if i left a box of CDs at my parents, it would be a crap box.
maybe thats what happened?
Some of your CD's are rubbish??
....ALL your CD's are rubbish ;) except the ones I've nicked....I've said too much.
I don't have many cd's these days
I can't afford them.
All of the ones I listen to have been ripped into my computer.
If they gave my laptop away, then I'd be pissed off.
i would not happy
blah blah possession.
music is the only thing i really care about or have any enthusiasm for,
i don't even like
star trek, you momo.
startrek and starwars are the same thing. foo':
gay.
yes
except that they're not, and you're gay in the face.
YEAH
FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE, MEGAGEEK
it's the 21st century
i don't believe in anything.
Is that a line from Star Trek/Wars?
TekWar?
I wouldn't be happy, no
But I think I'm safe in the knowledge that my mother wouldn't actually give any of that stuff away as she knows how much I enjoy it.
I'd get revenge by selling my sister to some slave trader in Egypt.
well, no
i'm quite safe in that regard.
i'm not sure even egypt deserves my sister tho...
They could use mine as a guard dog, or something
at Cairo International.
:')
I'd just get them to buy back the ones I liked
which wouldn't be many if I had left thm at home.
I'm trying to get rid of a bunch of CDs at the moment. I don't that many close to my heart.
