Personally, I'd much prefer to see Boro winning the League than England winning the World Cup...
winning the Carling Cup means more to me than that bunch of Lampards winning the World Cup.
isn't that normal?
Who really gives that much of a fuck about the international team? Club always and forever.
when you see England fans at a game, on TV, their flags represent those towns without any club, or a really bad one.
Coventry have Kevin Kyle up front.
I just completely despair at both. I do sometimes wonder how different it would be if I supported good teams.
on my FM game, I'm 4th with Coventry in the Championship - Kevin Kyle has 14 goals in 11 games.
That is what should've happened this season. Who are your 'best' players?
Stuart Giddings and Elliott Ward.
a team of Gary Breens
french fotball teams play then...
living the dream
i'd rather see sunderland get promoted than england dominate international football for a generation.
frankly, i enjoy england losing and if england were to play ireland i'd support ireland because of the presence of a few sunderlad players in their side
but why did you point it out here?
i feel a much greater affinity to my club side and i'm not even english...
the 'Champions' league
European football in general
The Premiership and the huge divisions within it
I don't think I actually like football in general anymore.
did that to me too, for a while. Don't worry, once he's gone it all comes flooding back
I'm thinking of randomly choosing a League Two team to follow steadfastly through their ups and downs. Then making a Louis Theroux style documentary about it.
Then I realised it would actually be pretty boring, and there are millions of books that try and do it out there already. Ho hum. I'll just settle down and watch the scores come in as usual, like a good little boy.
a toughie, I think. My club probably do mean more to me than my country, but then I have seen my country play at a major championship and also win one, and I can't deny that I loved every minute of it. I think it is just the fact that club football is week in, week out that it features higher on my list
International football is MUCH better than Club football.
I also saw some ace football with Brazil and Portugal...
aren't really the best measure of International Football.
I like Tournaments...World Cups etc.
I just prefer it to the premiership.
and not that exciting. The last good tournament I can think of is USA 94.
Genuinely brilliant stuff. I've watched a lot since then, and very little has actually been exciting.
In my opinion.
but thought, nah, no-one'll notice. You proved me wrong. :(
as we are "just like watching Brazil"...
In my eyes you can only support one club and that for me is the Boro. I really couldnt care less about England although its nice to see them win and I still watch the games.
the ex-Ipswich drunk.
I think if you're English the inevitable build-up, media hype, and disappointment cycle could make it that way.
However, I go to Northern Ireland home games. The only qualifier I've missed recently was the England one... bollocks.
But having been to the 3-2 Spain game and some of our other amazing qualifiers over the last couple of years (3-3 v Austria was mental) I'd say international football is great.
