this sounds unpleasant.
the way i do it...
I really really enjoyed!
Nick Frost deserves to be getting the praise Simon Pegg is though... He's a legend!
Pegg is still writing most of the jokes though? And he looks hot in a police uniform.
It's all three of them innit? (Edgar Wright being the other one...)
I may be wrong though.
Disappointingly, Bill Bailey isn't in it anywhere near enough...
directed by wright
frost undoubtedly contributes, but no more than any other actor
You will never stop hearing that now.
I saw bill bailey and simon pegg around town. YAY!
should be dead good.
I had the same summer job as the director for a while.
at some special showings they did. It's not some emotionally moving piece of cinema (well durr) or a great work of art, but I've never seen a whole audience laugh as much. I bloody loved it.
class, most entertaining two hours in a cinema since... I can't remember when.
i'm way too excited.
Nick Frost and Bill Bailey are in it!
But I want to see music & lyrics!*
*This is true, but i want to see hot fuzz first. I am just craving conflict.
has Hugh 'Cunting' Grant in it...
But then we can imagine him dying a horrible death.
'Music and Lyrics' this weekend - I went to see Hot Fuzz last night it is ace!
I went with the idiot who started this thread!!!
oh, i cant
it'll still be playing in a month's time? As that is when I will be in England...doubt it's going to show in Finnish cinemas.
I really can't wait.
it was near the school, lool.
I'll see it soon
what a big fucking disappointment that was.
it had quite a slow start and i was a bit disappointed with it at first. But when it gets going it's brilliant and there are more laugh out lud moments than in most comedies.
Definitely agree with what someone said above, Bill Bailey should have been in it more - he makes me laugh without even doing anything.
surprised how gruesome it was in parts. Really funny, I love Nick Frost in it.
fete especially :-) I won't go into detail, I guess people will want to see it!
don't clap when the film finishes. :-)
otherwise people won't be able to hear the next line
stop kicking my seat, thanks.
i've paid for the horizontal part of my seat and the back of yours, thats how cinema works. I can rest my feet on the back of your chair to if i so wish. So there.
going to chew your toe off. :-)
thats probably what i would say to that. My boots are pretty thick, so if you get to my toe then you've earned it.
like a challenge. :-p
Saw it last night. Brilliant film. People clapped at the end. I've never seen that happen before.
I've already had "policemanofficer" twice. Go nuts.
that was the quote i wanted to make!
still 'its like something out of backdraft!' amused me...
fuck off up the model village!'
it's just bolognaise!!
We've got red.... and white.
The pacing was spot on so it didn't feel like it was dragging on too long and it had a good plot to back up the silliness. The "romantic" aspect between Pegg and Frost was really well done as well.
Minor annoyance was a couple next to us who were saying the punchlines just before they appeared on the screen in an "I've seen it before, I'm better than you" way. I wanted to punch them but just ignored it being the coward that I am.
Ace film though.
If only you'd been with IndieAndy_Jones, he'd have given their shins a good kicking for you!
i'd spit in their popcorn too
as only we could really hear them doing it and the other rows would no doubt hear us telling them to stop. I suppose this sort of opinion is what makes things like this more common nowadays.
It is a pretty damn rude thing of them to do I suppose.
i <3 Olivia Colman.
amusing but not amazing.
but I want to see on dvd now so I can catch the bits I missed!
i thought it was really good, but it annoyed me that people kept laughing over the talking. I might even go and see it again, which is something i've only ever done once (for The Two Towers)
and I think I'm going to.
it was perfectly paced, it was laugh out loud funny, it was wonderfully shot. Not sure how it could've been better to be honest, I was expecting a lot and wasn't disappointed at all.
However I had drunk quite a bit.
and had the exact same reaction! :)
was buying an SD card and making music come out of my Wii while I played Excite Truck. Quite the weekend I think you'll agree
is that none of the characters are very likeable at first.
AND a clean cut Simon Pegg just looks weird - i was worried that would be a problem, but he just about gets away with it.
or just wrong in general?
and I found Nick Frost's character instantly likeable.. certainly much more than Ed in Shaun Of The Dead.
simons character is quite dull and straight at first - not much to like there.
and Nicks character is just a sap.
But anyway, stop this! stop making me criticise a film that i like a lot
I actually thought the Andy's were instantly likeable, in a pair of bastards kind of way.
BESTEST BIT OF FILM
where the Andy's are having a go at Pegg, walk off, and one wanders back into shot. That or Adam Buxton's death. Ouch.
best bit is the one you mentioned with the Andys.
Plus, the Nick Frosts "brainfreeze bit" and the bit where Simon does a flying kick to the old ladies head, PLUS "it reaaaalllyyy huuuuuurrts!"
Timothy Dalton is a legend!
I like the "Angel! Don't go making a twat of yourself now!"
the last half an hour makes it really, i didnt think it was hilarious or anything but had a great ending
saw it today. it made me want to get a big gun and run out of the cinema shooting at grannies.
i love simon pegg/edgar wright.
Best thing I've seen at the cinema for ages.
It's safe to say I'll be buying the DVD.
