How likely would it be that they'd find out?
I've done it, my friend wrote me a reference saying she was my old boss and how amazing I was. They soon discovered I wasn't quite as amazing as she'd built me up to be.
you'll be found out
but some guy lasted a week in my old job when it turned out he couldn't speak German (it was a requirement of his job)
when on the phone he just used one of those online translators, which as we know, rarely make sense
you're just buying yourself time to learn it really really quickly.
creative with the truth.
But a blatant lie could be a bit dodgy.
& I completely missed out one year of employment because of the hatred my old boss & I now share for one & another
got me great offers, woop! But in the mean time I have to work, can't they just type in your National Insurance No. or something & see all previous employers eeep
Can't you just explain why you've only had one job?
as to why I only had one job but couldn't they just find out any way? I quit on Saturday after a huge arguement with my ex boss & he kept hanging up since so a good reference is not likely
He has to either be postive or not give one
nobody checks cv's
You'll pick em up.
Do say you've got a degree you don't have. They never check.
Don't pretend to have been the Prime Minister during your gap year. Apparently this is an easy lie to discover.
Chief of Police Glasso. D'oh.
but doesn't really, she's never been found out. I always put "I am good at teamwork", which is a blatant lie.
I hate those questions on CVs which say "when do you feel you have provided particularly good customer service?"...hmm, maybe when the wankers that are classical customers come in, lecture me for not pronouncing Shostackovich correctly, and not telling them to fuck off?
But in fact I don't.
Am I selling myself short? Should I have a 1st?
Maybe I could've studied Medicine..
*furiously scribbles away at new CV*
