Posh Nazi sympathiser Unity Mitford was conceived in the town of Swastika, Ontario
Can you give us a football-related factoid for the 7th of February?
Its a film/football fact. John Wark (Ipswich and Liverpool), appeared in the hit film 'Escape to Victory'. His accent was so broad that they had to dub over it with an American accent. He did not know this until the premier. He subsequently threatened the director.
I like that. It's like the (possibly apocryphal) story that Dave Prowse, who played Darth Vader, didn't know James Earl Jones was going to do the voice overdubs till he saw the finished film. Come on Dave, did you really think they would have a villain with a Bristol accent?
1301 - Edward of Caenarvon (later King Edward II) became England's first prince of Wales
Apparently the Welsh demanded a ruler who was born in Wales and was equally fluent in Welsh and English - so Edward I made his newborn son Prince of Wales. Nifty.
As in *England's* Prince of Wales? Surely he's Britain's Price of Wales?
I just have one of those fact of the day calenders
I bet you think this is London Bridge, too:
Not the one in London Though. :D
It looks so WEIRD out there. Look how blue the sky is. It's not natural.
since Britain as a political entity didn't really exist at the time. Wales was a subjugated province rather than a constituent part of an integrated state
Too busy designing trousers for the Iranian army.
since his company was founded in Germany, it's not that surprising. Plenty of manufacturers are awarded government contracts, and Nazi Germany is no different. See also: Volkswagen.
And at the risk of seeming insensitive, the SS uniforms were pretty fucking cool
It should do...
the british army is kitted out in vivian westwood.
ragged tartan shit would be great on the forces.
although he only has two settings: "Creepy" and "Really creepy"
He has three settings: "Creepy", "Really creepy" and "A bit of a bastard".
Better? This is like the Spanish Inquisition.
I think the intense dislike I have for the song has put me off checking it out.
