Good film, innit.
Dystopian futures in films and books = lots of fun.
for the second time
One of the only 'thrillers' that is thrilling.
i love the camera work and alfonso cuaron's vision of a future london - it doesn't seem impossible.
I was put off this by bad reviews, and got The Black Dahlia out instead. Which was shit. Well, it might not have been, but I had no idea what was going on because everyone mumbled their lines, so I gave up after an hour or so.
watched this and pan's labyrinth in two nights last week and i can totally see why they were so highly rated by the critics last year.
with Clive Owen and Michael Caine
And yes, it rules.
Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth are my two favourite films of the year. I've not seen much this year but there aren't many released in 2006 that would beat those two.
surprised it didn't get more coverage than it did, really intense movie.
when it was released.
Have to wait for the DVD now...
It's nice and bleak.
