A bit cheesy or a bit amazing?
probably the best comedy programme ever
series two, three and four are just superb.
hugh laurie is amazing
but there are a few lines that make me cringe.
tally-ho blackadder! you look as pleased as a man who thought a cat has done its business in his pie, but it turned out to be an extra big, BLACKBERRY!
blackadder goes forth is probably my favourite series. :)
...and because of the historical setting, it can be repeated over and over again and successive generations still find it funny.
It's mostly knob jokes, but really really classy ones.
and Steven Fys character (General Melchitt?) was goin on about 'poo-poo'.
But hey, I have no right to talk, I watch two pints. But its sort of a similar pleasure. You have to put up with the odd cheesey line in order to enjoy the thing as a whole.
'I guess'- I still enjoy it but I keep seeing the words, Love Actually in my head during the breaks.
8 out of 10
he would be making SHIT music. everyone loses it. forget love actually!
Blackadder: However, be that as it may... [Baldrick gives him the card] "A Merry Messy Christmas." Christmas has an H in it, Mr Baldrick.
Blackadder: ...and an R. Also an I, and an S. Also T and M and A... ...and another S. Oh, and you've missed out the C at the beginning. Congratulations, Mr Baldrick! Something of a triumph, I think -- you must be the first person ever to spell `Christmas' without getting any of the letters right at all.
