I was at work so i missed it
hope it was that 'Ding' youth.
indifference was the winner.
there were some right cunts in the audience is what I gathered from the brief minute I watched it in between 24 and Ding went off then came back, got some abuse, O Sullivan told some guy to shut up etc.
9-3 or similar
Ding looked mega fucked off.
It was O'Sullivan. Ding was 2-0 up, but then Ronnie won it back. It was 9-3, and he stormed it, but then just as there was one red left, Ding walked off, having shaken Ronnie's hand. There was a bit of confusion, but they went back on again (that frame was nullified) and O'Sullivan ended up winning.
God bless having relatives come round to watch the snooker.
I watched the first 2 frames then went to the pub to watch the football and forgot about it by the time I came home.
I love Ronnie so much. Though Ding is pretty special. And only 19. He will win lots in the future I reckon.
snooker is great.
ronnie tonight proved himself not just a snooker legend, but a wonderful caring human being. poor ding though.
I'm very pleased for him after his walk out the other month.
It wasn't the whole crowd that were a disgrace, there was the usual support for Ronnie. It was just one or two knobheads particularly heckling Ding. Utter wankers.
that was nice.
Unfortunately it was someone inevitable given a pissed-up crowd which was also possibly the biggest ever at a snooker event now that it is not at the conference centre anymore(arround 4000 apparently). The Crucible for example holds less than 1000. Should make final tickets easy to get hold of though so I think I will go next year.
that was meant to say somewhat not someone
I felt a bit sorry for Ding to be honest. The sight of Ronnie comforting him at the mid-session interval was quite heartening though.
that was really sweet.
i love snooker
All i know is that it was a "disgrace" and "appalling" etc.
i was out all day...when i was back, and wasnt watching bb, i noticed a lot of people seemingly booing ding...i know not what for, but i know that he seemed to have been crying...is there anywhere where i can watch it again (ie youtube?) i am off to find out...
for Ronnie as you would expect and Ding was probably quite intimidated by the whole thing. As someone said, it was a huge crowd for snooker. It was only one or two idiots that seemed to be directly saying something to Ding
including the "pundits" (John Parrott is absolute rubbish, Steve Davis is a legend and Magma's biggest fan) that not only is Ding incredibly young but he is from rural China, a world apart. They were saying "yeah but I had to put up with playing Jimmy White here" but firstly, they were probably older when contesting finals and secondly, weren't in a foreign country where you can't speak the language very well in front of a much bigger crowd than there ever used to be playing someone as good as Ronnie.
