how often does it hold elections? when is the next one?
and May this year
Rhodri Morgan's brother taught me at Uni, he was ACE
wow i should make sure i'm on the electoral roll.
i love voting :-)
sheep aimed at welsh people....ha ha i havent experienced that before!! keep going its funny!
Apologies, I just couldnt resist it, I am partly welsh.
What I really like is that there are quite a lot of welsh speakers, I think thats great, and cornish that's quite popular too, it just seems to be that scotland is lagging behind.
I really really like wales and cornwall, no real slur was intended....sorry
I said it with my university experiences in mind! Everyone i ran into cracked the same gag when i told them i was welsh, like I had never even heard it before! (or even herd it before)!
is Kerensa which means welcome. I think someone on Time Team is called Kerensa.
I got a special Kerensa badge at Cubs for attending this jamboree type thing in Cornwall.
so there you go. you are now multi-lingual at welcoming.
Why does it say 'Croeso y Gymru' on the M4 on the way into Wales? what the hell is Gymru?
It's Cymru, but some Welsh letters mutate depending on what comes before them.
Creoso y Cymru
y is a vowel in Welsh, and when the word 'Cymru' follows a vowel, it will always change to 'Gymru'. It's a speech thing, it flows better when you speak it. There's other similar things - 'p's change to 'b's and so on.
i'm sure i've seen it written wrong in places. hmmm next time i go to wales i'm going to have to get pedantic all over them
the rules are mind-bendingly complicated and weird. Once you get into the idea of 'mh' and 'ng' being letters, all bets are off.
the welsh truely are geniuses!
she was the year below me and had an enourmous chest.
she was thick as shit though and not fantastic facially.
