Who Wants To Borrow My Flecktones DVD?

Stealthy [Edit] [Delete] 8 replies 11:11, 15 January '07

I feel so confident that you will be unable to keep a big shit-eating grin off your face watching it, that if you are unsatisfied, I will give you your money back - even though this is free.

Call me!

      Done.

Just for memory's sake, this DVD includes a performance by a band. The band consist of the Best Banjo Player In The World, a saxophonist who sometimes plays two simultaneously for kicks, a bassoonist, an improvising English horn player, a scatting tabla player, a steel-pan guy, a Tuvan throat singer, Futureman - who bored with orthodox drumming invented the Drummitar, which is exactly what it sounds like. And on bass - Futureman's brother, Victor Wooten, who I shouldn't need to describe.

      They play some music.

          • Also

I listened again to "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things". It's growing on me. Especially the bit that goes MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY

This pleases me. Especially because it took me a solid year of listening to that bit before the groove revealed itself. And it's one of my favourite grooves - he hits the cymbols in regular time - but the snare switches between hitting on the off beat and on the beat. Fucking satisfying.

  • Does it involve Robert Fleck?

    colonol_k | 15 Jan '07, 11:24 | X
    • No.

Fleck only comes with Robert Rosario.

      No rosario?

      NO FLECK.
