not actually all that funny
especially the later ones
the first 3 are funny as a teenager, and i dont care if that sounds patronising, because he irritates the shit out of me, but his humour gets VERY OLD VERY FAST.
not that i like to generalise
the thinkiiing. i also have a broken i key.
i need some new material
but these pyjamas are 100% cotton i think. they have some farm animals stitched on them though!
sounds like something I should be interested in.
that's a compliment.
I liked clerks dogma and chasing amy. The rest I thought were awful.
whether it insults you or commends you. Make what you will of it.
Jay and Silent Bob is the attempt at the ultimate stoner film.
However, Clerks is piss funny, and I wouldn't have a bad word said about it.
Mallrats is piss poor.
Chasing Amy is Ben Afleck's best effort to date (although his new performance about Reeve is ment to be career defining.............not too tough for Armageddon/Pearl Harbour shit buckets of toss wank).
Haven't even tackled Jersey Girl. Looks SHITEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Dogma's OK. Some clever bits in it.
Overall.......Started awesome, and has gone downhill.
Mallrats is ok.
might be the one of the worst films ive ever seen.
jersey girl is better. for an ultra-sappy rom-com it was suprisingly watchable
i'd say clerks and chasing amy are the only two with any real re-watchability
I mean, it made me not want to pork Liv Tyler. How can you make Liv Tyler unattractive? I still don't know how Smith managed it. But by the end of that horrific movie, I'd have rather eaten my own penis for breakfast.
Clerks was good though. Watched it again the other day and it has not aged well. He's a one trick pony and folks got bored of that trick pre-millenium.
thanks for letting us all know the right answers!
but did ruth kelly send me to a spensive school ... no ... :'(
which of his films should someone who has only seen Clerks (namely me) watch next?
But I've got a friend who thinks Kevin Smith is god, and suggests I see them all chronologically. Although I fear he means that I should do that in one sitting...
He just really likes Kevin Smith. And The Smiths. Though now he's started listening to Panic! At The Disco. Which is slightly worrying.
I'm not. I just had some sticky toffee pudding, and now I feel ill.
i'm okay now
and then yourself
(in case he comes back as a ghost and tries to make you watch them).
someone videotapes his funeral?
A hopeless attempt at recapturing the magic of the first, best series of View Askew films.
I'll amend my initial statement and say Dogma is good, but mallrats is not amazing.
Piss poor slap stick in parts.
Bless him for trying though.
because i have a feeling even if i go in with low expectations i'll still end up disappointed and wishing i could reclaim the time i've wasted on it
havent seen the last two yet tho.
and i never really 'got' chasing amy. the rest are bloody brilliant though.
she likes ladies
he likes her
then she likes him, but he's paranoid about her "muff diving" ways.
they split up.
he becomes single and successful.
shes still a lady lover.
What's to learn from this??
You don't need a lady who like other ladies to be happy.
But it could help.
i didnt find it entertaining, i was expecting kevin smithy goodness and left feeling meh. i think i may have been drunk or stoned at the time tho. i can hardly remember the film.
You need a second watch. It isn't all bad.
