I want to put some pics on my myspace, but they're big. So how can I make them both the same size?
also myspace link plz then i'll help you, i'm a whizz x
something like Photoshop/Paintshop Pro.
Resize then in there first.
you can put in a height and width in the code can't you?
<img src="url" width="no. of pixels" height="no. of pixels">
it's automatic when you do width, it automatically resizes without skewing it
didn't know that
i'd been working it out manually
If you (say) specified 50% height and 50% width, it would automatically retain the image's aspect ratio and display it as 25% of its height and 25% of its width for some stupid reason.
That isn't right at all!
If you just specify the width the image is scaled automatically. It's fine for MySpace for that reason
1) If you're trying to upload photos then Marco's response is the right one: You need to resize the image on your computer if it's larger than the maximum size. (If it's not, Myspace will resize.)
2) Otherwsie only specify the width and put 350 if you're trying to post as a comment picture. The rest will take care of itself. Forget the height setting totally.
i know very little about this sort of thing, thank you Theo.
Is this a myspace thing only?
you need both height and width attributes - it'll be the browser that decides what to do if it can't find one or the other, and they all do things differently.
best to resize the image first in PS or whatever.
Just got that. Thanks. Its ace!
Although: do not click 'Edit' when you make a comment.
a good place to start
