Cash fare in the new year?
I don't mind too much though it seems a bit silly, but Ken is being an idiot letting them do this, I love him but every time the bus fairs go up he gets blamed by irrational idiots and in turn loses votes and might not win next time (if he even can run for a third term)
That's ridiculous inflation!
Actually that can be one of your christmas presents!!!
IS an oyster card?
that allows you to travel around London on buses and trains.
The fares on Oyster are cheaper than cash fares. The idea being that they speed up the whole process, meaning people get on and off quicker, the drivers don't have to deal with cash and they can run a more efficient service. In theory.
NOT use them?
The problem is as it's pre-pay it means you have to be able to get to a shop or whatever to stick money on them (or internets if your card is registered) plus you occasionally forget how much is on them/can't check (if the shops are shut) and have to pay cash.
put travelcards on them, though...
automatic top-up feature you can use.
makes us feel superior to the rest of the country with their twee little paper passes
