how many minutes?
You can have some.
and then if you have access to an oven put it in there to crisp up a bit.
You should do it in the oven really, and cover it with olive oil and rock salt. Mmmm-mmm.
The Frank & Salters
8 should do it.
depends how powerful your microwave is innit
yeah though, the salt makes em go well crispy! :D
is your microwave 20 years old?
bit rude me using the microwave here at work for 15 minutes. hmm
and i'll show you my tips
on micro POWER and size of potato
About 10 minutes should do it, but really jacket potatoes belong in an oven.
don't forget to prick it
but it takes FOREVER
give them 8 minutes so they're kind of cooked anyways, then 3/4 hour in oven 200degrees
who you ring and say put them in NOW I'm just leaving work.
After the hour or so drive BADA hot potato hot potato ready as you come through the door
and some foil (shiny side up)
are worse than other things you do with potataoes
7 minutes in every microwave I use. Prick it with a fork first!
a small-medium size one from Tescies, give it a hearty pricking, put it in the microwave for 8 minutes, then cut a cross and squeeze it open a bit, ...spooge some beans on it, cook it for another 2 minutes then slaty pepper it and whack some Tescos own brand low fat soft cheese...it's gonna be sex!
jacket potatoes taste sick.
THERES TOO MANY REPLIES HERE!
otherwise one side will be hard
stab it all over too
When you take it out with a cloth or something give it a roll so it's fluffy inside. I tend to go for 15 mins turning it over every 5.
wish me luck everyone!
GO FOR IT!
I chose a little one...gave it a preliminary 5 mins just for softenage...but it was pretty much done - I added the beans and spanked another 5 minutes but then, because the cream cheese was low low fat, it didnt really want to melt. It was ok but just ok.
