i might watch it for once. thom yorke's on, and curious to see how klaxons go down in jools little honky tonk land
that the keane singer uses this opportunity to declare they are splitting up.*
muted jools on one, methinks a classic bogart movie on another. yippee
A classic Bogart movie? What are you, my mum?
No, that's your mum. And your dad. And for some reason your gran. My mum likes shit old movies, hence the comparison.
Yeah, that's right! You should be watching a proper MAN film! Like the Matrix. Or porn.
and thats not really a good thing, but still...Thom Yorke, RHCP, Klaxons, Keane, some black guy who sings, and some kind of big folk band...
be good tanyas arent bad either. i think i might have seen them and they were alright
If only i had a TV.
They are boss
Ho is psyched for the 'Peppers'? Maybe they'll do that 'Cal if ornia catholic priest, satan's henchmen, polar fleeeece' song.
it's so embarrassing to watch :(
P.S. Wow. Klaxxons are ever shittier than you guys make them out to be. I'm actually laughing in disbelief.
was that thom yorke rocking out to the peppers? lol
John Frusciante's pedals are taking up a good portion of the studio floorspace! It looks like he has about fifty.
GET YOUR OWN FACE, FRUISCIANTE.
he might as well be Lenny Kravitz!
Best one on TV at the mo.
- Watch semi-decent band
- Watch average band
- Go for brew when silly crazy folk band comes on
- Watch WELL GOOD BAND and sing along
Repeat and rinse.
Or I sometimes watch it all... That's good too. I love Jools.
I remember watching an episode long ago, with Ryan Adams and Franz Ferdinand.
After Ryan's second song, he said:
"Ryan Adams! With, This House is Not A Home!"
all look about 14, with a 28 year old front man.
i still have options!
most of their other stuff just leaves me cold.
is their only half decent song
and keane were "playing" crystal ball...what did i miss?
frusciante has no hair!!!
r u 4 real???!!!111!
why would I lie?
hence ace. I haven't heard gravity's rainbow. the bouncer is a great tune as is atlantis- I just love that breakdown!
but less tasty
were painfully dull
until Thom Yorke come on
oh, here he is
they were alright, better than i thought they would sound. but then i always think alot of up coming indie bands have poor sound on jools holland.
klaxons = good live. not so great on record in my opinion. with the maccabees its the other way around.
TV I have seen for some days and I am not even listening to it- the sound is off - I can't imagine what japes the Fucking nobhead Chilli Peppers are having. It looks like a corker though.
None of this music interests me. Again. I pay the licence fee as well don't I? Where is the Public Service Broadcasting for me? It certainly isn't found in this smug overfed twat's programmes. Wankers. Oh fuck, Thom Yorke is on now. Shit.
but chad smith looks like, or is, will farrel...!
thom did his song justice, in that it isnt probably the best thing hes written...
Take That...for the record is on.
thom yorke's song was tremendous.
i don't think i've recovered from it yet.
(no tv= :( )
it wasnt THAT good...
plus he was pulling funny faces like Bonnie Prince Bill.
run on NOW quickly...
I thought it was good to see the chubby guy from Keane talking about his drug problems.
I thought Thom Yorke was brilliant as ever.
I thought the Chilli Peppers basically highlighted how crap their new songs were compared to the last album.
So all in all, I thought it was quite good. Klaxons were good too.
But I'll only be tuning in next week for Damon Albarn's new band.
All that for one Thom Yorke song, and the two from Bellowhead.
On the Klaxon's performance, I'm glad I didn't see them live.. or maybe the sound was particularly bad on Jools.
Keane were awful, the lead singer guy couldn't even sing properly, and RHCP, well I turned over to watch Jarvis on channel 4 instead.
I enjoyed the Chilis. I laughed when it showed Yorke dancing to them, imagining the DiS Massiv cringeing and recoiling in fear.
Klaxons were fantastic, I believe. I love the second song they played. They've surprised me recently - I thought they were pretty one dimensional, only capable of NOISE SHOUT WHOO kinda thing, but their less... shouty songs are just as good. Still, I'd have liked to have seen Four Horsemen.
Keane were pretty good. I think they create a really good sound to say there's only two instruments involved.
I enjoyed Bellowhead too, and the other band were pretty good with the girl. Went for a brew when the others came on.
So, surprisingly, since there was only one band I'd say I liked on the show, I think its been the best so far.
Thom likes them. Is it ok to like them now ?
Anyway, frusciante is still one of the greatest people ever. Same for thom yorke. Klaxons we ok, keane were rubbish. Best line up all series.
^the above the the correct description of the show.
