kind of stuff happened in this era didn't it? Interesting times..... What's on telly?
how pagan ideas were wiped out, particularly in this country. Was it the Victorians and their puritan streak? Was it the enlightenment? Did she realy give birth to the puppies? What would Rousseau say?
i don't like this period either, i'm more into the age of revolutions. I sound sad, oh well.
I had to write an essay on the French Wars of Religion in this period. Boring. The only interesting bits were on Witchcraft and Copernicus, etc.
The later the history, the better
to an extent, but i also really like the general theme of the history of medicine. Right from pre-historic man and trepanning up to the first heart transplants.
there was a really good exhibition on this in the Science Museum. Did you ever go?
