but that an amendment to the law law really ought to be passed in Parliament before it's allowed.
You can't really go spending taxpayers money on illegal things, no matter how good they will be.

Oh wonderful, yet another way to pander to the criminals and the leftist 'rehabilitationists'.
How many people would this cause to start drugs habits, simply because they'll get their drugs free, rather then having to pay for them (through fair means or foul).
Any criminal should be in jail, if they have a drug habit then wean them off it. Stop rewarding them and start showing there are consequences to crime.

Quite simply NO.
These junkies should be locked up until they are clean of drugs. Damn thier human rights. They knew the problem of drugs before they started so should get no help from anyone but themselves.

the number of burglaries halved or something thereabouts.
personally i think it's pretty obvious that it's a good idea, but then the really good idea would be to legalise all drugs in every nation in the world and that's a whole debate i can't be bothered to have again.
persuasive writting, it didn't go down too well.
is fucking terrible
You'd think people might realise rehabilition helps STOP crime but NO, we're giving them stuff for free and they should just be locked up so they come out and do more damage to society because they SCUMBAG ILLEGAL DRUG USERS.
Cunts. I wanna move.
"Heroin on the NHS? I'll go along with that - providing the prescribed dose is lethal."
That's the most irritating kind of "funny". The "funny" that isn't even remotely humorous, but the person who said it think's they're brilliant when really it just makes me want to SMACK THEM.
Unless it too was supposed to be "funny"?
It was unintentional. So unintentional I have no idea what you're on about.
should be turned into heroin addicts and made to go cold turkey
or reading the letters page on ITV teletext, makes me sad because you know these people probably consider themselves moral caring people and they will never understand how wrong they are
of the letters page in the Sun.
In other words: a load of SHITE that people have spent ages thinking of just to sound like they know what they're going on about.
On the one hand it seems a sensible suggestion and on the other hand is my personal desire to kill all junkie scum.
