Have fun paying for it!
I can afford that much.
but i openly loled at that.
I love living in Heartfordshire
i really hope it goes well, i'm not yet cynical about it.
and the swimming
otherwise your training is going to be very tough.
I went to the Sydney Olympics and it was amazing.
amazing. i love the swimming hard.
we had drinking games for the mens 100m heats (athletics) too. dont play them.
i also like the weightlifting. david vine. hero
I went to the Boxing, Hockey and Wrestling plus all the free events I could get to.
i pay to see the thorpedo. did you know he hasnt competed in any event sice the olympics? long term injury
please say no. i dont USA to win everything. plus, that race with him and phelps. one of the best sporting moments ever
just sounds like a coke habit
the olympics is actually fucking boring. everyone knows that.
i think most people genuinely don't enjoy the events ... it's not as if people were clamouring for tickets in greece
i would want to watch, to be honest
I've never been a fan of wrestling (greco-roman OR freestyle) but just going to the event was brilliant.
track & field
How this country can pay for such luxurys, yet my mother gets less than £13,000 a year working for the NHS.
have you any idea what your taxes pay for?
ITS THE OLYMPICS!
attend or will attend pay for it directly?
why should the taxpayer susbsidise the minority?
do you use the roads?
do you use everything your atx pays for?
but most people use free education, publically mainted roads, free healthcare etc. what proportion of british people will attend the olympics? and what proportion will be interested?
it might have some external benefits for londoners though, so it's fair enough that people outside london don't have to cough up for it.
using their tv licence, which a lot of people dissagree with anyway?
or a rower on their 5th straight gold medal?
i cant argue anymore
i don't really object to it so long as people outside london don't have to pay for it but i don't see why it should receive a public subsidy if people are so passionate about it.
mother do for the NHS???
but if i did id be well fucked off!
i hate sport!
i still have to pay for them. such is life.
Imagine what they'd be shooting if they didn't have skeets to aim at.
from manchester? Nurses?
using up ALL my tax money
That 13,000 a year is fucking disgusting and more money should be put into the NHS.
works part time? 13,000 is quite low if she is actually 'helping sick people'
was only yanking ya chain!
but there are many worse things money is spent on
surely olympics > wars?
but you're being irreverent so i'll leave it
than the olympics?
and loads more will no doubt continue to be pumped into the NHS. the chances of this raising wages for the folk who work there is something completely different. Yes it is disgusting in many cases but i don't see them rushing to pay more if they don't have to.
i don't see why the nhs should be rushing to pay people more than their market clearing rate. the idea that people in the nhs should be paid the moral worth of their work is a ludicrous concept.
if people were paid by their moral worth, I would be penniless
i'd owe a lot of money
Nurses are the worst paid professionals in the public sector, earning on average 24 per cent less than secondary school teachers, the Royal College of Nursing says today.
secondary school teachers have a harder job
a text i received from my friend who is one supports this:
"Just confiscated a massive black cock from a year 11"
it's because it is harder to recruit secondary school teachers
it's not always easy to tell.
was that the london population wasn't even consulted if we wanted the fucking thing, and now we're expected to pay for it.
but i already pay £75/month council tax and i dislike being told i'm going to have to pay for something that i don't feel is going to have much in the way of long term benefits except raising house prices in east london even further.
guess how much i pay?
less than me.
as the first part in a plan to drive you out of London. Is it working?
after that, i am impervious to anything.
Enjoy, London !
will not have to pay that much more on our coucil tax bills. And, frankly, I'm happy to pay an extra 50p a month or whatever it is to pay for the Olympics.
I love sport.
I could just tell.
Winter olympics are cool though, pretty snow and stuff.
