FOR FUCKS SAKE
I'll say it again.
seriously see this being the end of Southgate.
if it makes you feel any better we're going to lose to stoke on monday. They have Lee Hendrie and Salif Diao!!
In other news, Colchester are beating Cardiff! Come on the U's
Sweet Jesus. Layer Road is turning into a (decaying) fortress
The pub weren't showing it now.
I said this earlier.
I'm not surprised.
This is AWFUL.
Yes, he wont last much longer, we look like they players have never played together before!
Dont panic, weve got Liverpool soon, we'll most likely beat them and get beat by West Ham next week. I love being a boro fan me.
if we lose to Sheffield Utd this evening, we're in the relegation zone.
Come on Utd!
If the skunks lose to Sheff Utd they'll be joing bottom.
They already are in the relegation zone.
I don't believe this.
You're going down with the... er... us!
for supporting kneejerk reactions to bad results, but the fact is Roeder's got to go or we're going to get relegated. It's gone too far now.
Its funny for us though.
That's unless we go up of course, fucking Birmingham, we had most of the attacking play with them content to play counter attack football. :-(
you're going down with us :|
I'm absolutely disgusted by the Newcastle performance last night (and I've started a few too many threads about that lately). Completely and utterly inept, we'd have struggled to beat a League Two side on that form. Things were getting pretty hostile by the end, but it seemed like most of the anger at my end of the ground was directed at Shepherd rather than Roeder.
We really really are looking good for relegation now. With respect to the teams we've played, we've had a nice cushy start to the season at home, but we've taken 5 points out of 18. One last thing, well done to Sheffield United's fans, they were by far the loudest away fans we've had up here all season...
Pretty much sums up the Boro right now too. Totally incapble of stringing two passes together, our attacks look weak. Our midfield is being totally bypassed, Boateng is playing the worst I've ever seen him play, the only area that's playing relatively well is our edfence, and they were totally wank yesterday. There's no passion, no hunger, no drive.
It's not just the players though. Who on earth starts ENGLAND'S left-winger on the right?Especially when we've got James Morrison on the bench. Gareth Southgate is scared to leave players out. He signed Huth and Woodgate so he can't drop them, but oh no, Pogatetz is amazing, let's put him on the left. NO. Don't. He's a centre back. And, well, I signed Arca, lets put him left-wing. NO. Put DOWNING there. Arca should play left-back. Simple as that.
Oh and one more thing, Don't EVER play Jason Euell up front.
That is all.
That backpass from Boateng was horrendous yesterday. In the spirit of one-downmanship, I think we're more shite than you though... Mainly because our club is rotten to the core. Getting rid of Shepherd and Roeder isn't going to be the magic fix to all our problems, it's too deep-seated now.
But hey, you're right, you are worse than us; remember:
MIDDLESBROUGH 1 - 0 NEWCASTLE
See you in the Championship...
if Freddy goes then things could turn around pretty quickly. Just look what's happened at Villa this season.
But if Roeder went too, then who's available to take over as manager? Worrying rumours about Eriksson in the papers a week or so back, but then I guess he's being touted around most clubs in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if we were the mugs who got lumbered with him and his hilarious wages though. I realise I'm sounding very negative here, but I'm just overwhelmed by frustration with the club at the moment. There are one or two positives, such as how well Milner's played in the last couple of games...
thank god we didn't sell him to Villa. I think our best hope is a takeover, Freddy going off quietly into the countryside somewhere to have his heart attack, Roeder going back to coaching pre-schoolers, and the new owners persuading Ranieri or Houllier to come back to England (which I think they'd both be quite willing to do).
Hang on there devel son, I thnik the best thing to do with Aca is play him at left wing, have you seen him try to defend?!?! he's a useless mackem cunt, he simply cannot defend, bench is the best for him, until January when we can sell him back to Sunderland for £10 and a bag of crisps.
I enjoy the Championship far more then the Premiership, it's a much better league, everyone can beat everyone else and you can never predict what will happen.
Better fans as well.
A few weeks of the Championship, and you'll never want to leave!
No offence or anything, but I hate it when people say "better fans", how the fuck do you know?
That might have come across as being over agressive, but surely there is no tangible way of comparing fans other than attendance?
In which case the Premiership wins.
the glory supporters for a start...
And having encountred many sets of lower league fans and a few sets of Premiership fans, I've enjoyed the lower league fans a lot more.
I do like fans of clubs like Bury who are shit and generally always will be shit, as they develop a gallows type humour, they know their club is shit but they still love it.
Meanwhile some fans carp on about how they haven't won anything in a few years or lose in the finals of competitions. Boo Hoo, try supporting a club wh have never won anything!
I am a Middlesbrough fan remember.
Our history is literally scattered with trophy wins and famous victories isnt it?
I hate all the Boro "Glory" supporters!
you did nearly win the UEFA cup last season!
Good point, but that was bloody amazing and to be fair is never gonna happen again. Nobody at the club expected that.
want to be in the premier league. EVERYONE wants to be in the Premier League.
but the championship is fun.
I really enjoyed it when we were back in Division 1 for a season. We killed Oxford. Wow, Oxford, how the 'mighty' have fallen.
I thought it was the end of the world. Especially as we'd been in the top flight all my life. But it's ok. You get used to not being on match of the day and spending millions on players and stuff. And it's nice knowing that generally when you meet other fans they probably know what they're talking about. Although to be honest Coventry have never really attracted THAT many glory hunters...
when Coventry were finally relegated. All those years of battling, generally with us to go down, when it finally happened it made me smile loads. But now you've been gone for a while, I kinda miss you. You should be back, along with Sheff Wed. It was like the golden age of Premier League football.
