Playing at Toad Hall tonight will be Muse, The Raconteurs, Amy Whinehouse, Jamie Sample and a few others, possibly Jag.
he's got a nice new venue. But I fear all those bands are going to be upsatged by a troupe of dancing water voles.
I think I already mentioned recently how I would find the prospect of doing Amy Winehouse in the butt most gratifying. I renew this opinion.
if jools head has sunk even deeper into his torso
But 'Mixing It' on Radio 3 is a much better prospect.
in the world, outside his baffling number of industry friends, trusted Dave Stewart for about fifteen years?
Is the same age as my dad.
To the day.
Despite their MASSIVE SOUND I still find them really empty. It's like they're trying to hide their empty songs behind MASSIVE SOUND to make it more interesting.
How did Amy Winehouse's dress stick out like that?
I quite enjoyed Raconteurs.
Try out Songs From the Deep Forest for a rough idea of his capability but if possible, see him live for a real taste of how wonderful he is.
he's excellent live.
Don't have Songs from the Deep Forest but Adventures in Gramaphone - EP collection - is pretty good. Also as an aside, also the only person in a band I've ever seen leave the stage because "I really need to take a piss".
I missed this because our tv is busted.
First Racontuers song was decent. John Legend. Words cannot describe the awfulness. Amy Winehouse - a lot better than I thought she'd be. Duke Special ok. Lead singer = a crusty Robert Smith?
Muse have gone from being a pompous but occasionally really enjoyable rock band to an even more pretentious fusion of themselves with Keane.
