Just out of interest, like...
you in Eastenders?
Otherwise, probably not
sorry. what were you doing?
I should probaly know
your own question?
everyone else needed some help.
I got interviewed for it the other day.
Ooh, get me.
saw that last 10 seconds you know - the LAST 10 SECONDS!!!
Who are FOTB anyway - it looks like 'Fitba' anyway like we're all Scots or something
I'll ask you again - WHERE???
What was the question?
OH YES YES INDEEDY!
to see two seconds of your drummer's face.
and it was the guitarist!!!
Friends of the Bride on the news the other night but didn't see any faces.
we did see it though. Because I'd seen it on MySpace just before I left. More notice next time!
we gathered round the cathode-ray tube all expectant as we folded the Mixtape inlay cards and just saw 10 seconds of 'something' being wound down. It was the same feeling you get when you see a packet of fags on a table and you think someone's forgotten them but in fact its just an empty packet. Inform us!!!!
go to the news bit and you can watch all the shows from last week. We did a song for The Robert Elms Show on London Radio. They decided to film it and Gary crowley interviewed us. NORMAN JAY played it on Sunday! Just before our gig. Only Johnny Goatboy came from DiS. I deliberately kept it quiet cos it was our first gig n all. Also didn't want to Jag the telly or radio too much cos I didn't want to piss anyone off. I was genuinely interested to see if anyone watched it, hence the thread...
cigars all round!
It was a good day on Sunday. FOTB aren't really my thing but are definitely a very competent musical act in parts sounding like the Divine Comedy. Some good hooks in there too.
I didn't see many acts but Cashier No. 9 were definitely a highlight for me. Have you listened to that CD yet, Bobby? I know them so am a bit biased but they were amazing. With Austrian dancers and gospel singers how could it not be?
HAven't listened to the CD, but will let you know what I think...
I'd be qwuite chuffed with that!
but as you know - it's not cos we're fans, it's just that we are into similar artists as he is. DC are great, though - no doubt about that.
Having gone to watch Spencer McGarry Season who were on fine form.
I thought you were very good, sound was a bit ropey near the back but I spose the soundman had a long day... Spence mentioned you were going to play Cardiff with them next month?
I chatted to him briefly. I didn't realise we were on the bill with him.
Like I say I liked FOTB, there was a bit of a shabby Flaming Stars sort of feel along with the archness and wordiness and that. Good stuff!
Cheers - I couldn't have wished for a better reaction on our first gig! It's such a relief! And Norman Jay playing our single on the same night was an honour!
that's a 50/50 compliment - I used to love their clanky sound
on our myspace:
as if they'd spent all their production allowance on pomade and combs what look like flick-knives. great though.
