i was on there for 45 minutes and made ONE POUND FORTY NINE.
there go my world series chances GOD-DANG
the internet is just full of morons who think that because they've seen 'late night poker' once they can go all in bluffing on a shit hand and win, like phil hellmuth jr did.
this is how monies are made.
internet poker does suck bigtime, though.
who don't know what you've got.
but its so mainstream, and plenty of people do ok on it, that im sure its very tightly regulated
don't go on a half-day long bender and expect to win.
fruit machines pay out around about three-quarters of their intake. that's a legal regulation. if i want to go on a fruit machine i'll always go on it 2 minutes after i've seen some muppet pour his life savings into it: then i can win with the quid i'm willing to invest, and some other muppet will come and lose ten quid etc. etc. etc.
likewise, poker sites pay out around about ninety-seven percent of their intake.
so if you want to make money, play little and often, and always, always quit while you're ahead.
what these people are playing on is the addictive nature of gambling and the reluctance of people (particularly your johnny-come-lately gambling addict) to quit while they're ahead...
with money anyway, so gambling is a big big no no.
i think you are misunderstanding the concept of internet poker. you dont lose your money to the website, you lose it to other online players, the website takes a rake(percentage of each pot)So for them to rig the game would be pointless as it doesnt matter to them who wins.
the only people who say internet poker is rigged are the people who lose cos theyre shit and are addicted, if you understand the game youll know it is not a game of chance where the odds are fixed but a game which can be manipulated so the odds are in your favour, and if they are in your favour, you will win more than you lose. its where most of my money comes from.
next time i go on holiday thats where i want to go.
im sure many people leave vegas absolutely ruined, the addiction of gambling is very hard to control once you start.
ha i imagine the pawn shops must make obscene amounts of people flogging all their worldly possessions just for a little more cash.
but I found the gambling far too intimidating (other than slot machines).
At about three in the afternoon I saw one guy on his own with a dealer playing blackjack on a $10,000 table. He looked bored out of his mind. And must have dropped $200,000 in less than five minutes.
going to Vegas for a stag party next summer. I can't wait.
plays online poker full time. he has made 70 thousand pounds since january.
if you are good- you will win more than you lose. i supplement my income very nicely with online poker.
