Good but possibly the most overrated film EVER
...again, then you'll see
I hate you now Squirrel
I love the Breakfast Club too! Unless you were just being sarcastic.
John Hughes goodness... Sixteen Candles is also good!
and it is.
And when I did laugh it was only a snigger. Very poor.
and didn't find it all that good
like a very funny half hour comedy show stretched out for far too long.
I didn't like the Big Lebowski that much when I first saw it. 35 viewings later...
and the idea of buying a time machine of the internet
fake alternative opinions
ive never heard anyone say it's the greates film ever just thant it's well funny which it is, things get anoying when people start to go on about it and quoting it all the time but thats not the films fault. I love it 9/10
i like it
really don't want to see this film
cause there's this bit where they throw chewing gum at a picture of you.
isn't a picture of me, that is George Clooney. I can see where you'd get confused, though
even when Napoleon isn't saying anything he makes me laugh.
it is very funny and totally out of the ordinary. jon heder (napoleon) only got paid $1000 for making it!
everyone likes it because it's an underdog, it shouldn't've been successful, but it just was! &it's very funny - mostly due to how unconventional it is, good ideas. &it's got pretty much the cutest love story ever in it! that final scene with 'when in rome' on in the background brings a tear to my eye.
plus deb is the perfect woman.
not even funny.
one of the main jokes seems to be that he runs in a really stupid way. that's not funny is it?
but after seeing it hyped on here I was a little perplexed why. Ghost World is 14 times better
is 140 times better. no wait it's, 10 ^ 140 times better. totally.
would put ghostworld on a par.
for having a low budget and managing to do well in the teenage market with a PG rating/not ever resorting to toilet humour. I can't think of another film which did the same in years after all those American Pie clones.
I guess it's best to see it pre-hype. It's not the best film ever, it's greatly re-watchable and quotable though. You have to be ok with the slow pace/lack of much going on and into the character. TASTE.
It's a very warm, charming and gently funny film. Even if in the grand scheme of things it's just an entertaining curiosity.
