I'm nolonger allowed to eat and caffeine, wheat or dairy products.
What can I eat??
why the hell can't you have that stuff?!
are you a veggie?
vegetables beans meat lentils.
is that IBS or something?
try soya products and goats cheese to replace dairy, you can get vegan cheese alternative too check health food shops
You can get caffeiene free tea and coffee easily.
Most supermarkets now stock wheat free products, try rice cakes/ryvita kind of things instead of bread or try making your own with special mixes?
try looking at the BBC site and food groups on there.
Yep IBS :(
But not too badly at the moment.
HURTS THOUGH. I have these peppermint tablets which I take when I get it, to ease pain.
ANd I have anti spasm stuff aswell :(
But I hate taking medication so oI'm inly taking them when its horrendous.
Sorry to hear that.
But Slicky's right, most supermarkets have a good range of wheat free products.
I'm going to go and investigate the '...free' aisle products lunchtime :)
also buy NICE fruit like melon, strawberries and pineapple to kind of replace chocolate.
THAT SOUNDS LIKE HELL.
and lots of currys
I can't have this as I'm prone to anaemia
Too spicy for IBS!
I'm going to go spoil myself lunchtime
And soya milk is surprisingly nice.
I got my IBS diagnosis a year ago.
For me it's more about how I eat then what I eat. I can't get too hungry/too full, eat too much or too fast. Little and often is the way to go. You may find this helps you too.
Just hot water is good to drink to ease pain, as well as the godsend that is peppermint.
Anti spasmodics are best used before you eat but then you don't know if you would have needed them. I don't really take them any more unless I'm in a situation where I'm uptight and know that my stomache will freak out about incoming food.
Good luck. There is lots of advice out there, websites, books etc.
Hasn't done me any harm
All day every day.
i cant eat wheat and rice pasta is a life saver. it tastes just like normal pasta.
My brother has IBS, he had to give this stuff up too.
There's Dairy/Wheat-free versions of almost everything though, most of those are worth a try.
