cowardly?

meths [Edit] [Delete] 25 replies 12:17, 12 October '06

right i need some advice.

basically i leave work tomorrow. the HR manager just came in and asked me if i wanted an "exit meeting", "just in case you need to get stuff off your chest about luigi (my boss), being a bastard."

it made me want to have one. my boss is the most dispicable person i have ever met. and VERY unprofessional. ervyone in the office hates him (i'm serious) - thats 300 people. at all the staff parties, senior management tell me what a total dick he is and how much they hate him. even the directors!

it has made me think maybe the HR manager asked me for this meeting so they can have a reason to do something. but i'm not sure. people dont really get sacked for being cunts do they? you have steal money off the company or something.

BUT, if i do say something, it all seems a bit cowardly from me. i dont like grassing people up and i want to fix my own problems.

thoughts? sorry for the length of this!

just to give you an insight into his stupidness - "why do i have to put country as United Kingdom? we're not related united are we?" THATS WHAT THE COUNTRY'S CALLED YOU TOTAL COCK, YOU CANT CHANGE IT!

  • It's not cowardly.

    Do it.
He'll probably just get a warning.

    _antilovesong | 12 Oct '06, 12:18 | X
  • do it

you won't get him sacked or anything, but what you say might make HR 'Have a word with him' and he might think about changing his behaviour.

you personally have nothing to lose from it, so why not be honest

    • They want the meeting

so they obviously think that they will get something out of it. So why not blow off some steam.

      • I don't know that wanting a meeting means anything.

everyone who leaves my work gets offered an exit interview.

        • if he is damaging staff morale

thats theft.. if you follow it down the line etc etc

          Mortgage_Boy @IndieAndy_Jones | 12 Oct '06, 21:48 | X
  • Just do it

At the end of the day it won't get back that it was you that said anything - they can't do that.

Tell them at the meeting, clearly and concisely, what he's done wrong to your personally. Don't bring anyone else into it, don't say 'Everyone else hates him', just make it entirely about you and how he's offended you.

    • how the fuck do you know?

      meths @sexyindiegalnotalent | 12 Oct '06, 12:35 | X
      • ok then

      • ...

Do it. This is the kind of stuff HIS boss will want to talk to him about under the heading of "attitude", or some other miscellaneous bullshit label.

And miscellany is the leading cause of reduncancy in this country.

        Stealthy | 12 Oct '06, 12:20 | X
      • just bum him and say

        "that's your warning luigi"

        on the way out

        i dare you

        -Raz- | 12 Oct '06, 12:21 | X
        • thanks raz

i always seem to agree with your advice the most

          meths @-Raz- | 12 Oct '06, 12:35 | X
      • do it.

if you have something specific to say then say it, otherwise just have the meeting anyway and have fun bitching about luigi for a while.

      • You'll regret it if you don't

        moribund | 12 Oct '06, 12:22 | X
      • do it

the more people there are who know he's a cunt, the less chance he has of going anywhere.
cunts don't deserve to get anywhere.

      • I fully endorse what everyone has said

        even Raz

      • Yes

        that is cowardly.

      • breastfuckit

Dude, tell them EXACTLY what he's done thats pissed you off, and why its contributed to your hatred of the job, and therefore, I'm guessing, less than 100% performance

People need to know that a cunty manager fucks up their business, by making the staff resent coming into work everyday, pulling sickies etc...

        grockle | 12 Oct '06, 12:50 | X
      • i've booked the "meeting"
