Christmas in 10 weeks and.. some amount of days!
Which is more exciting? I cannot decide.
make me want to kill myself. From now untill March is my least favourite time of year.
as its been less 'americanised' if that's possible - still at least they haven't nicked Bombfire Night - even 'us catholics' enjoy the burning of naughty men.
You get to dress up and look like an absolute wanker and people can't mock.
Well, they can, but shush.
Is you can buy skull cups which you can use all year round and look like a cool cat.
cold weather and christmas is just a time for amateurs and cunts.
is no more than a creation on shitty costume companys intent upon parting us with our money, its so american and cheap seeming
And food colouring in the lemonade. And "scary stuff", as my little sister calls it when i take her shopping.
halloween, but only because i'm going to see ...and you will know us by the trail of dead.
christmas day will be nice but the christmas season is horrid.
and new year's, as well, which i'm sorta dreading.
usually means a complete lack of social life for me, unfortunately.
Damn social club job.
Although i don't really have a social life for the rest of the year either. :D
is DEAD. literally. nothing ever happens, at least band-wise. it's rubbish. although christmas eve being on a saturday last year was pretty cool, i went out with in Bedford and went crap indie clubbing. it was all going well until JustJay got attacked by someone. good times!
i'm not looking forward to new years because i'm a bitter misanthrope and i'm going to spend it alone again. wooo!
at work until about 12.30 because those fuckers who call themselves customers refuse to go home on time.
I then get hugs and a kiss on the cheek.
I want to be at a party with nice girls dammit!
but I'm not sure it'd fly on nye. :(
Nor any day of the week at my work.
You will always be spotted by someone who drops you in it with the boss.
is what we both want.
so it goes.
so much you wouldn't believe it. A friend of mine throws the best parties in the world and I'm djing it this year. Excitement.
I'm a grown up now so Halloween has no impact on me at all.
Christmas is still the dogs bollocks
don't trust people who get enthusiastic about christmas who are over the age of 10!
for me, i like christmas day as it's the only time i tend to see both my mother and my sister at the same time, so i'm really looking forward to that.
the christmas season, on the other hand, with the constant bombardment of BUY THIS! BUY THAT! BUY EVERYTHING AS IT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON IF YOU DO!!!! can go fly.
you get time off work
you get presents
everyone is happy
lots of parties
lots of fun
whats wrong with that?
as there are now some kids in the family again. Seeing them have fun and get excited about it all makes Christmas day almost as good as it was when I was a kid myself
if i had to go to big 'family' christmases i think i'd come up with any excuse not to...
eat 2 bigass christmas dinners every year since my parents split.
I have to see all of my family in "stages". Family feuds and all that.
Last year i had 3 dinners, as i inflicted myself upon my then-boyfriend for the evening. It was lovely.
my dad lives in north wales and my mother in bedfordshire, so dinner with both isn't an option. hurrah!
My mam lived in london, my dad in teeside.
Christmas day in a car! What more could a child ask for?
you poor thing :'(
Apart from the time my brother threw his brand new cybiko at me and broke my news. Hahah. FUN times. :D
Oddly enough, I'm not being sarcastic.
I resent having to waste three of my holiday days on Christmas.
I never feel more depressed than during christmas.
Members of my family always seem to die around christmas.
Lastly (and this is what annoys me most about this godawful season) don't normal people party and have lots of fun all year round? Christmas is when all the temps (cunts who spend all year round staying in of an evening watching coronation street) come out and infest the pubs in which we have been slogging our guts out all year round. Amateur hour.
Or you could just fast forward it to March!
At least there is ATP to look forward to!
Halloween wasn't celebrated
was right if you ask me.
We don't celebrate halloween in Norway, thankfully!
Dressing up, fake blood, pretending to be a goth :) I'm in Hong Kong now sourcing Halloween for Woolies for next year so I am a corporate bitch trying to push it on people but as a consumer I love it too. I love the theatre and excitement and building up the creepyness, I loved it as a child too. My parents used to make food that looked like bits of human body and make us eat it.. Ahhh the fun :)
I like Christmas too :P
burning stuff > most things.
associate Bonfire night with being in Portsmouth and avoiding getting beaten up by chavvy girls with sparklers and scraped back hair facelifts.. Burning stuff is good tho.
the last time i actually went to a bonfire. i have no idea what i did on bonfire night last year :'(
Ì got the night off work because my mate was coming home from uni.
We went down to the riverside to watch the fireworks and gave eachother hugs as she was cold.
Then we went and had fish and chips :)
is THE best day of the year.
I spent bon fire night drinking in a huge back garden overlooking all of Lincoln whilst some goths from Nottingham set each other on fire whilst having a space hopper race down Steep Hill. Good times.
well, to Halloween if people have parties.
Blackheath is always rubbish, only lasts for like 20 mins, and then the rest of the night is spent avoiding all the stupidly packed pubs and deciding in the cold whether any of my friends will let us go back to theirs for a party, which usually never happens.
is my birthday. It rules everything.
In October! Bloody ridiculous!
apart from sometimes bonfire night.
Christmas can be pretty depressing, despite PRESENTS and stuff. mmm, presents.
I love halloween though, this year i'm making an actual bear suit. YES.
I'm just being a vampire. I'll either be too drunk to care that it's unoriginal, or around kids who are too young to not be scared.
after years of progressive shitness of halloween costumes, i decided to make an effort. My costumes when i was little were THE BEST.
Samhain should not be confused or dissed just cos of the plastic americanisms
It is our old 'new year'
all the harvesting has been done, we wassail the apple trees and all get together after the urgent yearly work has been done and NOW allow ourselves to morn the dead to remember all things that past/passed in the year, we can now relax, tell tales, all share mourning, and look back and then look forward (at least that is what it used to mean)....Of course bonfires were burnt at this time before Guy Fawkes....i find it hard that the majority of the public are so ignorant of the history of their festivals. Diwali is upon us too....another festival of light. And also the Walsall Illuminations
I wasn't allowed to trick or treat. I have held a grudge ever since.
go outside...somewhere green or brown and do something different. contemplate the past present and future.....do it with some freinds...do it with some cider, do it with apples, do it with fire, or have a party. Or stay in and try a different position
