use a duster or a hoover for cleaning
abrassive scrubbing with a brillo pad cant shift some of the congealed bits of food on them.
I cant see how a hoover would solve matters!

then you just need to wipe the crap off with a wet sponge
that you've been using a brillo pad probably means you've scraped off the easy cleaning non stick surface
it's just that your food gets cold while you do it.
then while you clean, place food in the oven! it's worth wasting energy for a hot meal!
you'll take off the non-stick coating. This will then create a vicious circle as food will then stick to the grill, thereby making it harder to clean. Very short sighted. They ARE a bastard to clean though. I tend to clean it almost immediately after use whilst it's still hot with lotsa soapy water. That normally does the trick.
