The best film I've seen all week
looks a bit poncey to me.
Do you have no heart?
I really want to see it I might try and go this weekend - Sunday afternoon maybe!
Don't listen to boobygeorge. I cried twice, and laughed many more times.
with my...... :-(
Anyone want to come - Muswell Hill Odeon Sunday afternoon!?!
The grandpa is so funny!
The best prospect in the cinema since Brick and Tsoti so you may aswell see it. There's little else to get excited about. The History Boys looks a bit amateurish to me like Grange Hill in film format. I may see Volver and then unless there's a miracle I don't think i'll be seeing anything of merit at the cinema in 2006. It's been a DVD year.
I have seen all year, followed closely by Brick. The dance scene at the end is priceless!
Brick and Tsoti knock LMS into a cocked hat. A lot of sunshine's success and must see is down to a poor time for the film industry. Brick was so skilfully crafted, excellently done, instead of the umpteenth let's throw loads of money at it and hope it sticks noir extravaganza. It's 40s dectective fare that tranfers excellently onto the US High School setting. As i said before you could release that any year and it'd still be a cut above most of the films out whereas i'm not so sure with LMS. All i know is it's the first movie billed as Heartwarming and Feel good that fits that description. The dance scene was the bit i liked the least. It's really a movie that tackles character and dysfunction in a refreshing and affectionate way.
Looked terrible in the right up but got dragged along and it is incredible
I posted about this a couple of months ago: http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/1090300
but no-one had seen it then :(
It is soo funny!
'You're not talking because of Friedrich Nietzsche?' LOL-o-rama
I'm still really bitter that Pretty_vacant ate all the chocolate during the adverts though
