and where are they NOW?
No its not ironic! Busted were an AWESOME pop band, I'm still gutted I never saw them live :*(
Damn Charlie needing to be 'cool'!
I'm a child because I don't like a band.
You didnt just say you dont like them, which would be fair enough, each to their own and all that jazz. (though i think anyone who can resist bopping along when a Busted song some on the radio must be a complete misery guts)
You made the STATEMENT that they were bad. Which is wrong.
Looks like Im a misery guts.
Yeah, they were funny. Yeah, they were entertaining. But its hard to like them when youre being bombarded with them from the radio and tv.
I also draw the line when someone says they have any real "artistic" value.
Im sure this is going to get an intelligent, mature, and impartial response, to which I will either have to think of something equally mature, or say an opinion, which will get "OMG you cant say that thats a statement not an opinion lyk"
But probably not now Ive just written that.
But will you try and second guess me because of the previous sentence
Whatever, Im off to make innuendos on another thread.
I asked you to dance at the disco BUT YOU SAID NO!
As it said in the articel, they wrote catchy, feel good, punch the air and sing along pop songs.
I wish there was a busted when I was younger, to introduce me to guitar bands rather than the shit I used to listen to when I was younger.
Busted were only a good thing.
ps. I fancied matt, but now he has ridiculous facial hair :(
but the first album had a fair amount of rubbish on it that wasn't in the same league as Year 3000 and You Said No.
you said no was great
what i go to school for was a bit wack
they did have a few other good tunes tho.
sleeping with the light on was okish
thunderbirds was incredible
and got told i was insensitive. Also:i listened to 3AM on repeat on "B-day"
STANDING HERE right outside your door.
and i don't know if my heart can take much more.
Oh and also, fantastic article.
anyone who dislikes them dislikes themselves
(they had to change the name because of the twin towers, or something)
probably that I think. They were so ace.
To me they just sound like Nickleback: really tame American style bore-rock.
There's no pop wizardry at work that I've ever noticed.
at all at all.
they were a sprightly, energetic, glossy pop band. with hilarious(ly bad, but still good) lyrics.
I fired up soulseek but 'busted' appears to be in a lot of other artists so I had to make do with reminding myself via 30-second Amazon clips.
But my feelings didn't change. The first thing is ALWAYS the music for me. You might set Dickens to music but if it's shit music I'm not going to listen. I hear the Busted sound and it just sounds fucking dull.
Canadian, not that I'm proud of that, but Busted were good for a laugh, I enjoyed them while they lasted.
Son of Dork, eh?
we have Matt Willis.
haven't you realised?
They're like a not-good Ash.
