If O'Leary goes back, I'm going to burn things.
They've sacked him. Tiny statement on the official site.
'We don't want to comment further at this stage'.
not winnign the premiership in his first season? fucking football
....being a bit shit so far this season and at the back end of last. Still thankless task.
Now, I may be wrong in my view of Leeds/O'Leary, and I don't rate O'Leary as a manager, but surely the blame for the near-collapse of Leeds wasn't O'Leary being shit (if that were the case at least one of Francis, Ardiles, Gross, Graham or Pleat would've liquidated Spurs by now) but Risdale going mad and thinking it was Champ-Man and that at the end he could just start a new game and be done with it.
That said, there's still no ground to not turn to arson should he get back in charge if you're a Leeds fan like our Rob. Still, your Aaron's a good lad, ta.
a bad run consisting of about 10 games probably. thats about 4 weeks. chairman are stupid
Leeds to the play-off final last season. Against the odds. And I think he's paying for that now, having started poorly, in terms of results this season.
They've played well this year though, and been unlucky in front of goal. Why on earth can David Healy score three against Spain and none against Derby? Will Steve Stone ever play to his potential again? Why did Eirik Bakke demand so much money?
He has made some bad decisions, yeah. But ultimately I think he deserved more time.
And of course O'Leary isn't to blame for the original crisis. But I still don't really like him. Book-writing cunt.
and by 'back-end of last season' i clearly mean 'play-off finals' and apologise.
Still, 10 games is a luxury, there's people down White Hart Lane calling for Jol's head after 5!
...which is why I refer to them as 'they' rather than 'we' cause they're generally unreasonable morons. However I've grown up in the 90s so I've no illusions of grandeur to contend with!
and yet, he was the most fickle fan ever, god rest his sole
Well, some of them.
I vote Man U fans. Perhaps that is only cause they spam every Liverpool thread. I don't post on these forums just read them when I'm bored...
"i dont tink da ref gave us much of chance"
'We're not fickle. We just don't like you'
Simple and effective. I personally think we've let Blackwell go because there are rumours that West Brom are getting in for Curbishley, and Bates didn't want to miss out on him. I reckon.
"we cant go down, we're a big club"
SAYS WHO! bolton are YEARS ahead of you! thats how you got fucked up last time!
Which is why I'm glad he said it. Saves me getting the flack from meths here :)
Leeds have more potential than Bolton though. The other day they announced they would be out of debt within a year and straight back to becoming a financial power. They are a bigger club and will be above Bolton in the premiership in the next five years.
the death of football
It's a sad day for culture.
What you're on about. I assume Blackwell is some form of bookstore?
There's one on Charing Cross Road, quite a big one, but they're national.
I hope these managers take over there:
is new QPR manager - sorry to disappoint you!
was 'relieved of his position' by Leeds about two years ago, I can't see that happening again either...
*crosses fingers and toes*
I like Kevin Blackwell, I saw him in goal at Argyle when he was 40 something, and he was Warncok's no.2 in our glorious 95/96 season.
