worth a watch?
I think all Almodovar films are worth watching.
i have to be up at half 7 to get to college in the morning.
with our Sunday paper, it is *very* good, one of Almodovar's best.
i'll be interested to see how the musical version of all about my mother turns out.
Rocky XIV is on Sky right now for heaven's sake.
I'm off to Watch something by Herzog in a rather pleased with myself way whilst writing down one-liners from The Caretaker on the back of some Gitanes.
definitely the oddest film i've seen in quite some time, but that was lovely as well.
to be able to follow it properly.
Shaun of the Dead got put on instead.
I'm looking forward to Y Tu Mama Tambien later on tonight now :oD
Be there or be...
is that you?
Real name: John
Location: Bristol, Avon
there's something fishy going on here...
Which one is the evil one?! Eh eh?! I'm hedging my bets on jp1000 being EVIL
about 10 times more evil
10 times more evil, not 10 times superior.
makes him superior, it also means your evil to the value of 100, which is still quite evil i reckon
i happened to watch Y Tu Mama Tambien today, lots of sex and talking about sex
prefer Bad Education though.
although I have to confess I didn't think it was as great as it's cracked up to be.
In fact, now I think about it, I have this problem with most of Almodovar's films. Even when tackling more low-key stuff like this, he seems to have this uncontrollable tendency towards melodrama, whilst at the same time injecting as much campness / vulgarity as he possibly can. I just find it incredibly tacky and I find myself growing bored quickly.
That said, it's saved by some decent performances and an intriguing central idea. Benigno is a fascinating character and in a way I'd rather Almodovar had focussed on him at the expense of the other elements in the story.
fantastic film, I was a complete emotional wreck after I saw it at the cinema.
