i have the second one on my computer, waiting to be watched (i was determined not to do it, then gave up hoping for DVDs)
Watch Fire Walk With Me after all the TV yes?
about 6 squid I paid. Not great quality, mind. I think there is an official region 2 version which was released in Spain (it's in English) but is quite difficult to get hold of
the entire second series?
GOd, I am desperate to watch it... Hmmmmmmmm.
now that lynch has finished inland empire (premiered last week, apparently the most incoherent film he's made since eraserhead- HOORAY!) his next job is going to be the fixing up and finishing of the series 2 dvd. so i'd wait. plus badalamenti is releasing 2 new cds of music from twin peaks! rock.
badalamenti said this a few days ago:
We are currently putting together a CD collection of music from the second season of Twin Peaks. The album is set to be released towards the end of 2006 along side the second season DVD set.
We are also putting together an additional collection, consisting of more music from the entire series: The feature-length pilot, The 2 Seasons which aired on ABC, and the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. We want your input!"
i hope that comes out!!!
to get them released:
everyone go sign the petition!
but make sure you watch all of the series first because although it is set before the series it is really the ending. \it's very different from the series and lacks the warmth and humor and focuses on the unseteling darkness. It also makes very little sense as lynch foolishly made it 5 hours long and had to cut three hours out of it, dunno why because there would have been a series of films were it not for this
it'll ruin the second series if you watch firewalk with me 1st
and makes perfect sense to me. but yes, after season 2.
having been a fan of some of lynchs work i watched it with no prior knowledge of twin peaks. i was also on mushrooms. needless to say i found it quite fucked up, and didnt understand a lot of it, but it was still very much appreciated. Maybe it does expose the 'shock' revelation, but it certainly didnt ruin my enjoyment of the whole thing. Definitely made a lot more sense when i saw it again after seeing the tv show though
read laura palmers diary inbetween series one and two as well. its all online.
My mother was watching twin peaks when she went into labour, with yours truly.
