whatsa going on?
i'm really excited, i can't wait :)
take the number
wegottickets don't issue any physical tickets, its how they keep their booking fees so low.
I'm going to open house. Its kinda work related and I want to look keen.
my answer is
and it's going to be great. who's with me?!
but haven't got a ticket yet, really should do that...
does anyone want to befriend me? no one i know has any music taste :(
they're all wankers
But I have to work on Sunday and can't afford to be hungover/tired again. Instead I'm off to see Jeremy Warmsley on Friday night. Hooray.
avoid him at all costs
that people seem so excited over this. it's been a lot of hard work but it looks like it's all going to be worth it. thanks :o)
OH, small update: Scanners' drummer has double booked himself, so they've been moved from the main stage to the side room and they're playing an acoustic set instead. i have no idea what that will come out as...
and i'll tell the door staff not to let you in :D
are coming together, hopefully having witness Pompey trash Charlon.
I am coming to this now after purchasing a certain someone's spare ticket.
Then again I might not if he doesn't pull his finger out of his arse and post the damn thing.
and I am mega excited. Yip.
I might be going, though staying in bed all day might win. It would be better if I had a running order but we cant have it all.
you have to meet us. FINALLY.
in your squirrel face!
(that's a very poor squirrel face, but you get the picture...)
it's quite a good pig face though.
but I'll prooably shy away behind my pint.
conversation about the merits of 'red dress' by the sugababes.
although I might break my "one pint per band" rule ...
going too. I really can't wait. It has the potential to be the best gig ever!
i'm going. ahhh, 65dos...
so you can go in and out?
If so I might come, because otherwise how do I get dinner (and cheap cans of booooooze)?
wristbands all the way.
also give you entry into the aftershow.
don't tell 93 Feet East though. Because (if I go, really depends on how pissed I get tomorrow night) I WILL be sneaking out for cans all day. Or if there's a wetherspoons nearby, possibly some Kopparberg
the cans, that is.
the nearest wetherspoons is the goodman's field, on mansell street, but it's about 15 minute walk from 93...
cans it is
I've never been to 93 Feet East but I'm assuming drink is £££££ there?
last time i was there, strongbow was £3/pint, dunno about beer but probably about the same.
Wetherspoons is Hamilton Hall in Liverpool Street station, but that's a 10 min walk away.
do they serve proper beer at 93feet east, or just lager?
easiest route is probably jubilee line to london bridge, and then get the northern line up to old street.
take Waterloo & City Line to Bank,
take Central Line to Liverpool Street
10 mins max
ignore me :(
is an option, but it's a longer walk and a longer tube journey
old street. Fools ^^^^
if you go to aldgate east, though - i'd recommend this if you're not from london.
I've just convinced my mate who is living in Oxford to come too!!
it's going to be hilarious.
looking forward to seeing?
Must sees for me are Distophia, Fickle Public, Young Playthings, Jetplane Landing, Vatican DC and bands that I look forward to seeing are 4 or 5 Magicians, 65daysofstatic, Dartz! and Frank Turner.
If I can see all those bands, I'll be happy!
Good few bands I haven't heard before too so hopefully there will be a few nice surprises.
Roll on tomorrow. Wahooo.
i can't even remember who else is playing. we should have an irish drinkoff, it'll be graaaaayt
Although I'll not be sinking any Guiness!
i hate the stuff. it's horrific. i'll think of something. ask me when i'm pissed, i'll say yes to anything.
are you coming out drinking tonight too?
i have a previous engagement involving a wetherspoons, a lot of vodka red bull, and holly valance fighting naked, wet, in a towel.
I'll even bring my NERV shirt.
Even though I'm actually PLAYING with 4 or 5 Magicians there, I don't actually even know where it is yet, such is the astonishingly well kept air of secrecy.
But then again, I don't know where any of our gigs are, usually. I just hop in a car and end up in some dingy hole in North London...
But anyway- please come and see us, even though it feels a bit fucking weird (in a good way) playing at the same show as Fickle Public and Distophia...
Can you get in even if you haven't got a Wristband for the all-dayer? How much will it be? Can you just pay on the door? What time does the aftershow start, ie. if you want to see the first band playing when should you get there?
people without wristbands will be let in (£3 i think but don't hold me to it!), but its priority to wristband holders.
i'm please to announce that we've not only broken even, but also made a considerable amount for the good causes on advance sales alone.
for everyone coming - remember: doors at 1pm, first band on at 1:15pm.
see you there :o)
I'm going to try not to get TOO drunk tonight so I can be there at 1.
May I just say that anyone who might want to watch us - we are on first at the aftershow, which is, at a brisk pace, still about 8 mins walk from 93 feet east. We are on at 9:15, doors are at 9:00. The venue may or may not be on Kingsland Road very near Catch. But its not Catch. That's too small. This place is bigger. But its name is a secret. Though it is under a bridge.
Basically, it would be nice if some people watched us. So get there for 9:00 latest if you are just coming to the aftershow, and leave the venue by 8:55 latest if you are at the main event if you want to make sure of seeing the whole set. But hopefully the last band at 93 feet east will have ended by then anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. Really looking forward to playing and hope to meet a lot of you there!
