is probably a more widely spoken language though

American maps have themselves in the middle.
i hate that too. whyyyyyy?
I HATE IT
I LOVE IT!
saying that they didn't speak English once. She said she spoke American. It made me unhappy in so many ways.
And decided it was a film about football called 'Third World Cup'. Hmm...
Telling me off for words ending in 'ise'
is in the centre of maps - as time is measured there? if you get what i mean.
but only because we took over the world with our bastarding capitalist standardised version of time, thus fucking the world forever in a hell of clocking in and out, of maximising efficiency and ruined lives. true fact.
it makes sense in the same way that america owns texas; that they took it so long ago that no-one can be bothered saying anything about it anymore (oh and because they'd kick your asssss.)
time has only been standardised here since the 1880s when GMT became legal. after that we spread it to the colonies and everywhere else slowly followed suit, because it was too hard to try to do something different (and obviously capitalism has no real nationality)
so, one thing came out of you feckers taking over the world. heh
Though I believe the Oxford English Dictionary prefers such words to end in ize even in UK English.
The worst thing is when you get the option of:
"English" or "English (United Kingdom)"
The only one I will accept is English or "English (US)"
I realise this is purely anti-Americanism but fuck, its our language.
English (United Kingdom) mean it will recognise och aye the nooooo?!
