The BBC used to show the Mercury prize on TV. This year it is tucked away on digital BBC 4.
That's actually devaluing BBC 4.
concerned about the Mercury Music Prize. It is just a way to get people to stick more coffers into the top BPI companies, surely!?
actually, no we don't, since when can you even compare music? The whole list thing is so fucking irritating.
but two now non-existent lists come to mind straight away; the Melody Maker's Album of the Year list, and the Festive Fifty were things I always took notice of.
when you come to make your 'top ten albums of 2006' list.
so I DO NOT CARE!!!
I was looking forward to that...
it's on bbc2 at Friday at 11:35pm
not live but was it ever live?
It's live tonight.
no it wasn't. and, just, who cares?
It's just an office party.
hehehe. thanks for that one.
now have access to digital television, and so this free to air channel
So I don't see how they're devaluing anything.
It was definatley on BBC4 last year... Can you get that on Freeview? If so I'll probably watch it tonight.
