anyone have any (serious) tips for un-warping a record? :(

one of my favourites is slightly warped and i can only get it to play non-shitly by speeding it up and ruining the song.

WELL?

i found this, but all those methods sound a bit stupid. apart from the dryer one, maybe.

experiences?

i don't know how it warped, i always leave them stood on-end. it's not even that bad when you look at it, but the song/tune is very long and repetitive and i suppose that makes the warp very noticeable. :((((

    only just seen this...

I'm the fucking king at unwarping records.

Got a Robert Parker seven inch at a bootsale for five pence...and fixed its severe warpedness by placing it between two pieces of glass in the sun on a hot day. It 100% works...let it cool down and return to it after the sun has gone away.

That record wouldn't play at all- it was so far gone that I wouldn't have put it anywhere near my record player...but now it plays fine

ace advice. i stupidly warped some records like this, but in reverse. i used a bag of records as a curtain.

      fool.

        a curtain? hee hee hee

try it- I was very skeptical until I did it myself... though I'm not sure its ever gonna be sunny enough to do it again.

        Indian summer my arse

          might try this tomorrow.

sourcing panes of glass might be a problem though.
