therapyrock [Edit] [Delete] 18 replies 18:54, 29 August '06

    • A radio presenter on talk sport

was going nuts about this last night. Apparently the government want to charge an extra 5 quid a week for people with too much rubbish in their bins.

      Fair enough....

      • I think the motives behind it are a very positive thing.

I just find it very odd that they would do it in secret.

  • This article is fucking outrageous:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=402439&;in_page_id=1770&ct=5

    • It is worthy to recycle

but they have not considered how charging per kg might lead to an increase in fly tipping and increased littering, 'knee jerk' is the politicians freind, 'thinking ahead/big picture' is not....are they unaware that consumer marketing is responsible for loads of unecessary and annoying packaging, however all governments, whatever hue have had to align themselves as freinds to consumerism....because they are weak and inferior......vote for me

      • .

"How far is this Government prepared to push the man in the street. Someone is going to be killed and who's fault will it be.

        - Norm, Newcastle"

I posted this comment: WHAT THE CUNTING FUCK DOES IT MATTER IF THE COMPANY WHO MAKES THE DEVICES IS GERMAN YOU BUNCH OF CUNTS

        I don't think they'll put it up.

        • having read the title

of that article, I just knew the tone it would take.

          • I don't know how you could live with yourself

having written that. The fact that a large proportion of the country read shit like that and are affected by the idiotic implications in it has such a detrimental effect on the world.

            Thom_fa @IrishMagpie | 29 Aug '06, 19:32 | X
          • i cannot believe

that of all the ways the government watches, controls and generally fucks the British people, a weight sensor is what is really pissing us off.

            bloody hell Britain.

    • That really is atrocious

and people buy this newspaper, why ? Are we really a bunch of simple fuckwits that lap this shit up ?
I can just imagine smart arses across the country telling their work buddies "you know the germans are bugging us ? Yeah, I read in in the daily mail. Yeah, I know, the bastards".
      I depsair, I really do.

      • sadly

they probably are adhering to a social repsonsibility of many Britons.

        • enforced euthanasia

and selective censorship. It's the only way.

          • I've been saying this

long before you got hit on the head with breaded cod and got political.

            • it's not 'peoples' personal lives'

it's an issue which affects society as a whole. more bugs, say I!

              • i like this bit

"Conservative MP Andrew Pelling said burglars could hack into the computer system to see if sudden reductions in waste at individual households meant the owners were on holiday and the property empty."

why not, like, look in the bin?
