I'm going tonight I think.
Philip K Dick + Linklater = guaranteed goodness.
can I call them that ?
I dont care.
Even more goodness anyway.
WANT to see this tonight. but my flatmate thinks it will be creepy :( SIGH. so we are going to see something else instead.
I'm gonna see both Snakes AND A Scanner Darkly
I am not buying into this shit at all.
snakes on a plane looks too creepy aswell.
get better friends!
It was good; though I left a bit confused. Curse my attention span :(
I haven't seen it yet but it's on my 'film to see on big screen next' list.
and snakes on a plane... looks so bloody literal!
But it's quite a downer and a huge headfuck, so don't expect yourself to be smiling at the end.
The animation is brilliant though, I think Linklater's got some balls to go to that length to be faithful to the book.
But it's pretty funny too, and Robert Downey Jnr is great.
I can't tell if anyone would be guarenteed to like it, but seriously, give it a go.
who is a huge Richard Linklater fan saw a free screening of it last week and said it wasn't one of his best. But I guess a second rate Linklater film will be better than most other mainstream crap
yesh. ^ this..
It seems like the plot is all hidden between the lines.
I was bored watching it, almost, but in hindsight I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left the cinema - I want to see it again, on DVD.
A good, subtle film.
But stayed in bed instead.
We did see Snakes on a Plane though... :D
it always seemed a bit gimmicky to me but it actually works really well in this context.
wednesday night in wood green. looking forward to it, but then i'd look forward to any film that involves phillip k dick and the tagline 'everything is not going to be ok'.
and snakesonaplane. i'm going to see that on wednesday, and am going to go DRUNK. all the better! :)
